Thank you @notreallychris and @sccamero. Your feedback is much appreciated. I am attempting to journal/post my emotions as well as refocusing on food to make progress with my weight. I will definately journal on my WHY. Cheers

Very helpful guys. I'll focus on keeping my carbs in check.

Thanks Sunny_Bunny. I just finished reading Keto Clarity. It wss highly recommended on these boards. I am overwhelmed with making easy meals to fit these macros. I think I need to experiment on my own to find which macros I can sustain and still derive keto benefits.

223 was my starting...now at 215ish. This is very inspiring!

I can't digest advocados. I am finicky with eggs and meat. I grew up with amost vegitarian indian diet. So I do find the diet hard to sustain...dabbling in vegitarian and eco atkins.

Thank you, I appreciate the responses. I think focusing on eating right is the plan. Following that if I want to do some experimentation and spend money use a blood ketone meter.

Wow, felt like crap an hour ago. Ate some salt from the shaker, pepperettes, couple of olives. Complete 180. Wow!

Wow, congrats! Keep it up. How many grams of carbs did you achieve this at? I'm in a simular situation and this is very inspiring.

Very positive post Firefly. Do you got pics you'd like to share to motivate doubters...including me at times.

I am going to commit to logging my food. 10000 steps daily. Carbs at 5%. Stick to keto foods even if over my calorie limit.

Thanks hbunting86. I needed to here that. Optifast does not seem to be the solution. Even if my Dr. has prescribed it. I don't think I have it in me to diet anymore... I'd love to feel freedom with food once and for all as I continue to also make more nourishing choices. I am happy to find this group and your support to…

Hello, I'm a re newby. I have been reading on the em2wl website, bumping up my protien and slowly adding strength training to my workouts. I am obese for my height and am faced with joining an optifast program to get into a healthy weight range offered by a local hospital OR trust the em2wl program. I am scared and tired…

Hello, my name is Jas. I had a false start with EM2WL last year. I have started consulting with a naturopath recently, whose eating philosopy is similar to this group. I am attempting to heal my rundown body and depressed mind. I am a 41 year old homemaker and mother of two. I am 5 '4 220 lb, gotten this way from low cal…

40 year old stay at home mom. I have more weight to lose this time. I get easily frustrated if I don't see the scale moving quickly and if I slip up and eat too many calories. I need to develop more patience and trust the process. Eat less, move more. I think its a confidence thing. I don't trust that I know what I'm doing…

Hi Heybales, The tracker 800 calories for activity above TDEE on average calculated weekly. My TDEE is 2063 at sedenary + 800 calories activity today -15% for cut Thats what I aim using. I think its right?
-
Thanks that helps! According to my tracker I average 800+ cals burned daily. I will compare my tracker and with the calculator.

Thanks, nice to have strong friends and friendships!

Love this discussion. I've restarted low carb yesturday and am doing the Atkins 72 version. This is the 4th or 5th time I've rejoined this group, I usually drop out after a cheat day turns into cheat weeks, months, years. I have been 200+ lbs for about 7 years now and know I am a food addict. All day today, I don't feel…

I just started Shrink Yourself today, it's an online counselling program with good reviews. I like that I have access to it anytime.

Wow your success is very inspiring. I get frustrated aiming for 1500 daily. I will start with 1800 cals as you suggested. Does it take a few weeks to get used to the drop? Just trying to set realistic expectations.
