  • I found these bars called Kind bars. They come in adifferent flavors. Mostly nuts and grains. They are all natural ingredients. Now, they have about 200 calories a piece, so it may not be the best snack choice, but they are very tasty, and seem to take that hunger tinge away for me.
  • What a great thread! I've just started, but here are a couple small victories: I can do 5 regular pushups and 5 pushups from my knees.. that is huge for me. I dont think I could do one before I can do a Zumba class I can bend a little bit farther during yoga I can see my "second chin" starting to get smaller :)
  • Feel free to add me too! The more you get connected, I find, the more it helps during those rough times
  • Welcome! I have gone over on protein before too. I think its alright.. the carbs and fat you have to watch out for. Ive learned keeping track of what I eat is very eye opening. Feel free to add me :)

  • I would just go by how you feel. Know that you can still eat if you are hungry but you dont have to. I had the same thing happen the other day. I worked out in my yard for 4 hours and ended up with 1200 calories left for the day. I didnt end up eating them, just made sure I drank enough water.
  • Welcome! You will find a lot of support here
  • I havent tried Shed, but am a fan of Zumba. I like that no matter if you are new or have been taking it awhile, it gives you a great sweat. Gets the heart pumping and feet moving. Plus, I have gotten the "exercise glow" afterwards. I really enjoy it!
  • It really does work! I was suprised at how writing down what I ate made a difference. Im back after a hiatus.. started out as "giving up my scale for Lent", which turned into "stop counting calories and eat what you want".. not exactly what I had in mind. But, Im back to knowing what works. Good luck!
  • Well said! Its hard enough sometimes to lose weight.. we don't need any more negativity!
  • Becky: We have a Mongolian Grill here too. DELICIOUS!!! How do you figure your calories for them?
  • I have had pretty good luck at QDoba. What I like is that you can pick and choose your ingredients. Everything is fresh and delicious. I have been getting the "Naked Burrito" which is all the burrito with no tortilla. You can pick your meat, veggies, toppings, beans, rice or no rice. Calories vary depending on what you…
  • Im new here too.. just started today. My husband starting using this site and liked it so I thought I would give it a shot. What I am surprised at are the things I thought were healthy and really aren't, or having to really check labels. I LOVE coffee but really paid no attention to the calories I added with creamer. Just…
