R.N. in the ED for over 20 yrs.- struggled with weight most of my life....over the last 5-6 yrs. have gained another 50+ lbs. Trying to learn new ways to deal with stress eating. I know all about crazy schedules. No time for meal break and "grabbing something on the run." Alway looking for helpful tips and recipes myself.

Welcome! I'm from Tn. also- The Great Smokey Mountains are in my back yard. Hope you have good luck on the site- makes it very easy to track the calories each day.

Good decision . If you can do it without surgery that's great. I have over 100lb. to lose .I would be glad to help support you though the journey. With the help of MFP and the support from others that are in the same boat hopefully we can do this. Good luck!

Right there with you ....I have over 100 lbs. to lose and it does seem the older I get the harder it is to lose the weight . I'm sure with your determination you will do fine. Good luck!

Great job! Just the inspiration I needed to read today. You were at the same numbers last year that I am starting at . Related to all your inspirations not being able to sit in a roll a coaster and needing seatbelt extensions on the air plane. Again great job and congratulations.

Mine was also seeing a picture of myself and couldn't believe how big my "butt" had gotten. Started having trouble getting up from sitting position with stiffness and knees hurting. Enough is enough . I've got to make a change .

Sounds good count me in...agree sometimes it seems overwhelming when have so much to lose. I'm in the need to lose one hundred pound category. So one week at a time sounds good or as I always say is that it's the baby steps for me.

Welcome, I am just starting this journey also. Never been any good at keeping a food diary or counting calorie but this site makes is so easy.

Right there with you...I have over one hundred pounds to lose . You will be such an inspiration to the kids in your classroom. I never was any good at keeping a food journal and counting calories but at MFP it does the work for you. Good luck it will be worth all the hard work!

I will look that "clean" diet up. never heard of that one - but I really enjoy healthy food it's just hard to find time to stick with that lifestyle change but I think it is defintly time to make a change. Thanks for your support and ideals.
