Yes your muscles retaining water is a likely explanation for the small weight gain now you've strated exercising. Its not uncommon for this to be lost in 2-3 days however also may take 2-3 weeks for it to go as your body adjusts to your new regime. don't panic drink plenty of water and keep going!

Are you being honest with yourself? Are you logging your food?Your diary is closed so its difficult for anyone to give you any specific advice, but i think you're proabably just netting close to your TDEE which is why you're maintaining.

There are calories in fruit sometimes a fair few too. Its much harder to eat 1000 cals of fruit than it is 1000 cals of refined carbs. Fair enough, any idea what could be going on I've increased my workouts from 2 x per week to 5x. is it just a case of my calorie allowance being too low. I'm 5'7 178 lb f?

Were at at resistance level 1 going really slow? If so than the machines 30kcals mite be right. But going at a moderate resistance for 10 mins should burn at least 70 kcals if your small and closer to 120 if your overweight.

Very much agree with this. Eating fresh homemade food will satisfy you alot more, and nutritionally it will be better. There are loads of recipes on internet recipe books etc about making delicious meals that are low fat or low carb or low-moderate calorie. Good luck in your journey I know you will make it work!

I get PMS about 4 days before i start normally so the first 3 days i will try and eat healthy and will go to the gym but the day before I just eat i cant help it and its carbs and sugar i crave - i just allow. i do try to eat healthyily once period starts but don't normally make it to the gym till about day 3.

Anything goes for me some meals are in excess of 800 kcals easy. But normally just one huge meal on that day, with smaller meals either side of it. i'd say on average breakfast around 250-400, lunch 500-600 dinner 500-600 on a 1500kcal eating plan, sometimes eating exercise kcals but often not.

Fat burning zone is just BS really you burn higher % of fat but a lower burn overall plus your afterburn is practically zero cos youv've not worked your heart hard enough. Cardio and HIIT far more effective.

I am 5'7 was 250lbs and a uk size 22 im now 180lbs uk 12-14 that equates my 70lbs loss to 4 dress sizes. Its different for everyone. When i first got down to 180 i was a size 16 although im still 180lbs im now more a 12-14 due to exercise. I'm looking to lose another 25 lbs and get to a size 10.
