Too much sugar intake, uggg

I been tracking everyday here and really trying to pay attention to my sugar and sodium intake. I am within my calories and WW points but way over my recommended sugar and sodium. I thought switching to honey instead of regular sugar or sweet n low would be good for me, but its also high in sugars. I really overdid when I was having fruit smoothies for snacks. I like at least one coffee in the am., I get all kinds of conflicting info about sugar substitutes being bad for you so I haven't touched my sweet n low in a week now my sugars are up. Its pretty frustrating. How does everyonw else take their coffees? I put the cinnamon in it and it was good but I also added honey. If you are staying below the recommended then tell me what you eat. I know the more I get into this is the more I tend to get obsessive and take in way too much info, my husband thinks I am "overdoing it" but its working so far. I will take any advice or criticisms on my food diary. Thank you so much. :drinker:

Unless you are diabetic you have zero reason to worry about sugar. Fruit sugar is fine. Cake sugar is fine (as long as you meet your macros pre-cake). Fake sugar is fine. There is a lot of misinformation floating around. Eat protein, hit your goals, and the rest is just small changes.0

Agreed. Unless you have a reason to watch sodium and sugar intake, most people are better served not even tracking it.0 -
as long as you are eating less than you take in you will be fine...0

Unless you have a medical reason to monitor your sugar intake, don't worry about it.
Just in case you weren't aware of this feature, when you go to the message boards section, there is a button called search and you can type in a keyword/phrase (ex: sugar) and you can see the threads that have already been created on the topic. Good luck! :flowerforyou:

Agreed...... I am a type 2 diabetic (diagnosed in 2009) and I don't even track sugar or sodium...... I track carbs (first and foremost) and proteins and fats...... Best of Luck0 -
Thank you for the information. It pretty much covers what I thought I already knew. I am not diabetic but too much sugars lead to fat. I didn't know or pay attention to the search window. I appreciate the input. According to weight watchers and the scale, I am doing fine. I will just cut back on fruit intake and eat me some more vegies.0

Too much sugar will not, in and of itself, lead to fat.0 -
Eating an apple and 2 carrots takes me over my sugar, really don't worry about it !0
