evening munchies!

I get pickish a few hours after teatime, about 8-9pm ish. Its more boredom and wanting to eat, rather than actual hunger.

What gets you through your evening munchies?!

I'm just having a weight watchers instant hot Choc with only 40cals. Seems to do the trick...for now anyway!

That's my worst time, too, and I often don't get through it! I do try to watch portions, though. On my better days, I have popcorn. On my best days I brush my teeth, fill up my water glass and go to bed with a book.
  • I get the same way sometimes. I try to distract myself or have a cup of tea. Its not easy-in fact for me it is the worst
    time of the day! :grumble:

Depending on what I am in the mood for I rotate through 100 cal popcorn bags, light pudding cups, dream easy hot tea, and pickles (0 cals but you have to watch sodium count).

I "save" about 100 - 150 calories per day for this exact situation. I have on square of dark chocolate or a serving of dry breakfast cereal.

I plan for the munchies. I actually eat most of my food at night. O.o

Fruits :) I always have calories left for in the evening. It doesn't contain so many calories (80-150) and it gives you a full feeling.
  • carrots are my thing to munch on they are crunchy and they taste good too.
  • I got through it! I'd love toast. Think I might start saving enough for a slice!

I'm all about hot tea. It keeps me feeling full and warm, and if you drink something like Tazo Passion tea or the blackberry-vanilla decaf Lipton, it actually tastes sweet and tangy without putting anything in it. I drank six cups of tea tonight. :p
