I think its a great idea! Regardless of theme, kids have fun at their bday parties! I think us as parents stress out over the party details too much sometimes. Your idea is awesome, your daughter will have a blast!

I recently bought a trail mix bag (no salt or chocolate) from Walgreens that comes with 7 portions of trail mix in individual little bags inside. 1 serving has about 100 calories and the mix includes cranberries, sunflower seeds, peanuts, etc. Good for on the go snacking!

I'm 3 days late, but I love the idea of this challenge! Will start tomorrow and I will aim for 30 miles in March. Now to get a pedometer bcz as a teacher, I know I walk a lot around school so that will help me see if this goal is too low or not. whoop whoop! Now off to find me a ticker...

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I have been drinking a lot of water and I've cut back on the amount of food I eat. Lord knows I can eat like a beast! I'm also making healthier choices with the foods I am eating. This whole logging things down thing makes me feel guilty if I eat fattening foods. LOL

that's an awesome idea! I usually make green eggs and ham in my kindergarten classroom, but i just put green food coloring in the eggs. i won't be able to do this at school but a most definite to do at home! thanks for sharing!

You are right though... if they taught these things before one gets diagnosed, the whole weight issue this country is facing would be far less rampant. Then again, all those people making money off of diet fads, fast foods, and health insurance premiums would be out of steady paychecks!! LOL Thanks for the tip btw!
