Definitely plan on a walk/run plan, I just did a half marathon a week ago after only 6 weeks training (and I wasn't already superfit and I am overweight) my original 12 week plan was disrupted by a bad cold which lasted 2 weeks and a back injury. You only need positive people in your life particularly when you're going through a life change, I remember when I was younger and had lost weight how quick people were to tell me that I was 'too thin' oddly enough those people (in hindsight) were a bit overweight. More power to you and well done on your achievement :)…

Hey well done that's amazing! I did the Tewkesbury half on Sunday too, snail pace of 2 hrs 43 though :D not bad since I only had six weeks to train. 24 minutes off your time is an incredible achievement!

Jillian Michaels the instructor suggests at least 4 times a week, I've found that the first day I do it I really hurt to the point of finding the next day really difficult so maybe every other day is the way to go, however if you find you can manage every day more power to you, I'd have at least be rest day though

Do you have any ideas or suggestions for women who want to start lifting or any introductory workout plan? I would say I say I need to lose around 28Ibs, possibly 35 - currently 171Ibs, 5ft 5. Any advice gratefully received and btw you look incredible, just shows what hard work and dedication can achieve

I have about 35Ibs to lose in total I would say currently 168Ibs. Probably best to intersperse the weight training with light cardio to begin with or a bit more challenging? Sorry about all the questions! x

Hey I just looked at your diary too and you're not only skipping breakfast but consistently eating under your calories sometimes by 500+ kcals! I'm no expert but if your trainer recommended 1600 it was for a very good reason. I would up your calories and see where things go in the next week or so. Good luck! Billy x
