  • HI, everyone! I'm Sara and I live in Florida. I'm 52 years old, married with 4 grown kids and 6  grandchildren. Last year I lost 26 pounds and have managed to gain about 15 of them back! Today I decided to get it back in gear and start tracking my exercise and calories again. When I signed in this morning, the first…
  • I did it a while back, completed it and lost 12 pounds and lots of inches. I lost 2 inches from my middle. It's challenging, but gets easier as you progress and best of all it's only 20 minutes. If this old lady can do it anybody can
  • I love Leslie's dvd's. I have been using them for probably 10 years. I like the fast pace of Walk Slim 5 Really Big Miles, 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk and Walk Slim Fast & Firm $ really Big Miles. I think they are a great low impact way to get a good cardio workout. She also has a walk club online that has different videos…
  • Great article. Thanks for sharing.
  • Hi, Patty! I'm 52 and have been using MFP for about a year. I have lost about 30 pounds in the process. I would love to be your friend, I will add you
  • This restaurant sounds really good! You could always go with chicken but since I eat so much chicken at home, I would go with the broiled fish, scallops or shrimp. Just ask them to go easy on the oil or butter. I love seared tuna so that sounds really good too. If the steaks are really good you could get a small filet. Get…

  • I did 30 Day Shred in October and I hated the side lunges with the shoulder raises and I am now doing Ripped in 30 and she has us doing them again! Ughhhhh:sad: Oh, well, I'm moving up to the next level tomorrow so hopefully they'll be history
  • I did 30 Day Shred first but it was just because it was the first one I happened upon. I really liked it. I just finished week 1 of Ripped in 30 and don't think one is any harder than the other, just different. I am liking it too. I have seen quite a few people though, including my 30 year old daughter, who think Ripped in…
  • I remeber the days of trying to fit in my exercise when my kiddos were little. It can be challenging to say the least  I am really liking this workout, too. I think I will add some walking in this next week just for fun. Good luck with Level 2, I look forward to sharing our progress!
  • I did the 30 Day Shred in October and really liked it, lost about 10 pounds and several inches (2 of them from my waist :). I am doing Ripped in 30 now and so far so good; I just finished with week one and will start week 2 tomorrow. I'm with you, I love getting cardio and strength in 24 minutes :)
  • I finished week 1 yesterday. I am enjoying it...how about you? I was sore for the first couple of days, but that's to be expected. Looking forward to level 2 on Monday! I'm doing it Mon. - Fri. and walking on the weekends.
  • Yay! It'll be great to have company! We can keep each other going. Good luck everyone!
  • For me, eating a light, healthy breakfast and doing my morning exercise sets the "tone" for my day; It gets me off on the right foot so to speak. I also find that, for whatever reason, eating breakfast seems to help stave off the night eating.
  • Leslie Sansone has some great walking dvds if you want to mix it up a bit
  • I used it to help break out of a stubborn plateau and I lost 10 pounds. I counted it as circuit training.
  • Here's a couple of articles that may help. http://exercise.about.com/od/weightloss/f/losefatgainmusc.htm http://www.sparkpeople.com/community/ask_the_experts.asp?q=70
  • You can definitely build muscle while losing weight! I am doing it right now  I started out with just cardio and I have added light weights to my program and have steadily lost weight and as the fat comes off, I see the muscles smiling through.
  • Congrats to you on such awesome results! All of that hard work really paid off! I'm still plugging along with six more days to go, side tracked by a cold right now, back on track in a few days.
  • Hi, dshalbert! It does get easier! I started Level 3 today and it is definitely challenging for me but I feel so much stronger than I did 20 days ago when I started and I do not miss those squats with V lifts from the last circuit of Level 2! LOL
  • Finished Level 2 tonight, now on to Level 3! I'm pretty stoked, starting to see definition in my arms and shoulders. How about you girls?
  • Still hangin' in! I pulled an ab muscle yesterday OUCH! But I'm workin' around it. Two more days and then on to Level 3. We're doin' good girls!
  • I like it! I had hit a litle plateau and wanted something to ramp things up a bit so I got the 30 Day Shred. I am on Level 2 day 8 and have lost 6 pounds and 2 inches off of my waist. I can already see some definition in my arms and shoulders. It is a little hard on the joints (knees and feet) but you can modify the moves…
  • Your post really hit home with me. My 2/12 year old grand daughter has several food allergies. Her mother is very careful to prepare foods for her to take as snacks and keeps cupcakes in the frezzer for those days when parents bring cake in for birthdays. It is definitely her responsiblilty to see that her child is safe.…
  • Wow! That is great! Isn't it the best feeling after working so hard? I will be half way in tomorrow and I have lost 4 pounds :)
  • I personally don't count things that I do in the course of my day as exercise. I only track things I specifically do for exercise like taking a walk, riding a bike, work out dvd, jogging, etc... I think our daily expenditure is figured in when we set up our program.
  • Finished Level 2 day 3! Oh, my ache'n abs! Like this routine better than Level 1. Everyone else still hangin' in there?
  • I too love salads...the combinations are almost endless! Here are some ideas, just to name a few: chicken, fish or any lean meat (I like mine warm) A small amount of cheese. I love feta Use different lettuces and salad greens I love the herb mixes. Kalamata olives green olives artichoke hearts palm hearts sugar snap peas…
  • I am on Level 2 day 2 and have been doing it religiously so far and I plan to stick with it. If I do miss a day, and I probably will because things happen, I will just pick up the next day and move ahead from there doing all 30 days. I don't think it's about being perfect but more about making real changes and setting…
