I like how the background says "Choice." You've made great choices!

Wow, if you call yourself slow, then I must be a turtle. I happy turtle, and accomplished turtle, but a turtle. I'm very proud of my 14 minute miles and will keep trudging along and I don't stop. I say this to say....you aren't slow.

FABULOUS! Is all I can say. I'm so glad your friend was there to snap the pic. 100 lbs is NOT a mini goal for anyone, it is a feat and a victory, so proud to type on here!!!

I weigh everyday and I think it helps. I haven't been more focused in my life. I don't sweat the small changes between days, but I weight every day and took this advice from a pal who lost 150lbs. I am not the type to be extremely hard on myself or to get depressed if I gain, so for me, it is psychologically safe. I only…

Looks like we are all different, I am ending week three, not much measurement movement (some, my clothes fit better) but I am down 4 pounds (I also run in the morning though). I would give it another 2 weeks for our bodies to adjust to see more results. From what I understand, weightloss is not expected from Insanity. Loss…

All the confirmation I needed to add another day of lifting to my routine!

I'm in the middle of week 3, I've lost about 4 lbs (I gained the first week) and my pants are fitting better. My arms are getting some definition, just week 3 :-).

Every dawn is a new beginning. While the consequences remain, you mind set doesn't. It's not the food, your grocery lists, or even the final exam. There is something in between the lines you will have to deal with. You wrote something that glared at me, "My friends and family would...if they knew I ate this much." It…

Oh I failed to mention, just as a previous posted posted, gym daycares are wonderful!!!! When my husband was away at school his first year I was toughing it alone. My daughter (had 1 at the time) and I went to the gym three times a week. Also, working out at home was what I did at first, they all joined in :-). I got up at…

I FEEL YOU!!! Whew! I am a mom of two, a wife of a law student, a doctoral student myself, and I have a full time job. My 1 year old still wakes through the night and we are fighting with our 6 year old almost every night to head BACK to her bed :-). While I love all of the above, it can be tiring and taxing. I decided…

When I started my cal intake set by MFP was 1440, I was STARVING! I would eat about half of my exercise cals and noticed my weightloss was really slow. I have a lot to lose, so I didn't expect such an early plateau. I upped my cal intake to 1700 per day and I do not log my exercise at all (well I do, but I only enter 1 cal…

When I would complain about "only" losing 5lbs, my mother would say, "Go to the grocery store and walk around with a 5lb bag of potatoes and see how you feel."

I just declined to a friend because I need something that is sustainable. He told me that I would be replacing a meal and my thought was, I like food too much to replace it with a shake, lol. I am not interested in drinking a replacement shake forever. I want to be able to learn healthy food choices under any circumstance.…
