  • You'll be in pain from the surgery not to mention all the air they'll pump into your stomach to make sure it won't leak. Make sure you stick to the "diet" of progressively going from clear liquids to broth to pureed food! Good luck and be healthy!
  • I know what you mean about being thankful for FINALLY having a doctor who listens to you! I almost had to beg to have my thyroid tested eventhough HYPOTHYROIDISM runs in my family. I was diagnosed w/ sleep apena and Hashimoto's at the same time. I now have someone I'm seeing for my pre-surgery visits and she's great! I…
  • If you eat back your exercise calories, it's like you didn't exercise at all. I don't eat mine back at all...
  • Looseing x2 lbs /week isn't that extreme but maybe difficult depending on your food/drink intake. No soda, lots of water, lower your carb intake, and lower your meat intake and eat more soy based food, and exercise. Those are my short & sweet suggestions.
  • I would agree with the idea."TALK WITH YOUR DOCTOR!" My first question is which kind did they say you have: obstructive or where your brain isn't sending the right/enough signals for you to breath normal in your sleep? If you have obstructive then, YES loosing weight would probably be you easiest solution/treatment besides…
  • Have you thought about your sodium intake? You could be retaining some fluids so it seems like you haven't lost any weight but maybe you have.
  • I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (hypothyroidism - my body is attacking my gland so it pretty much stopped working) and no one has ever told me that soy would effect/affect anything w/ my meds. That's interesting, I'll have to ask my aunt who's an RN and also has hypothyroidism since she had her gland removed. I take 250mcg…
  • I was about the same so I'm glad things are working out for us both! Thanks!
  • I like the Walmart thin crust buffalo chicken and philly steak pizzas
  • When I have to work I have greek yogurt and banana, but when I'm off from work and I'm home it varies but mostly scrambled eggs and fruit or oatmeal. I eat a lot of yogurt for snacks too. I was given the idea of getting the plain yogurt and using coffee syrup or water add-in (liquid I think mostly) to add for flavoring but…
  • You ARE that beaufiful person, you just want your outter person to match your inner person! I have lost over 50lbs lately, and mostly due to MFP, walking, and drinking LOTS of water! How much do you really think you should loose? (if you don't mind me asking) Exercise in different ways and find different foods that you…
  • Lost of water, walk as much as you can, and yes HIGH protein w/ low carb meals and you should loose that weight pretty fast! I've lost 50lbs following these simple ideals.
  • I work long hours so I use my iPhone app mostly but I just started using these message boards...I'm scheduled for my surgery in March and I've lost 50lbs so far and I will start my "3 week diet" in about a month so I'm wondering how much should I expect to loose if I weigh 300lbs now?
  • I'm new to MFP but not to new either...I've been using this for a few months with pretty good success. I've lost 50+lbs (depends on how much fulid I retain that day) and I have at least another 50-75lbs before I'll be happy. I work x2 jobs so that has helped me stay busy and then my family helps when I'm home since I have…
  • Walmart has a good THINK CRUST (we all know most of the calories are from the crust) Buffalo chicken pizza that's good!
  • I eat breakfast most days, but there are ones where I don't. Sometimes I will eat breakfast but maybe not lunch and like you asked I eat more small meals throughout the day. I tend to lose more weight in a day when I do the later, but I do get busy and overly hungry sometimes too. I think everyone is different, but all of…
