50/50 chocolate, found in the dietetic/health food aisle in the graocery store, it's chocolate for diabetics, and it tastes great. It's so rich, in fact, that I could not eat the serving size listed on the wrapper. I think the 'just say no' and driving a different route is better, but if you absolutely must, 50/50 is a…

I have. Sometimes they just don't realize how rude they're being after you've politely refused. No means no lol "It smells delicious, but no thank you. I bet so-and-so would love this!" "This is important to me, so I need to keep being good." "I'm still breaking old habits, and you're not helping." "You're hurting my…

I understand the YMCA is a great, low cost gym. For work out ideas, Pinterest has several great links to workouts, might want to check those out. Also, switcing it up is a great way to lose weight - don't let your body get used to a routine, as it becomes more 'efficient' the more you do something. Hope that helps!

The eggs in the carton *have* to be placed in a pattern so that the entire carton is balanced, extra points if it's a pleasing pattern. Also, when I am warm and going to sleep, I work my feet the way a cat does when its warm and about to go to sleep. lol

Is dark chocolate allowed on Paleo? Didn't think it was...and moderation is not my friend ;)
-
Definitely not trying to go ALL OUT, might as well have my own farm for that, and I can tell you that is an impossibility. I am doing the best I can, just looking for resources "outside the box" that I might not have known about. :) Thank you everyone for the suggestions :)

@tbodega - those shoulders! MEEE-oww! ;)

Thank you - I appreciate this. I guess I just didn't know where to start...

Silly, I know, but yes - genetically modified foods, pesticides, less nutrients...here's an article I found on it - http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1880145,00.html Maybe it's a phase I'm going through with conspiracy theories and all, but "fresh" produce at the grocery store isn't "straight from the…

Great job - not only for what you have accomplished but also for overcoming your hangups to post your 'before' pics...ot an easy thing to do, I know. Congratulations on beating the odds :)

I wear my HRM, and log the activity as 'cross training'.

I like it - especially since I use the same bottle, and would be good for work, especially with the refills. Thanks!

Throw them out. If they ask, say someone must have eaten them all. Set yourself up for success! And you keep eating them because you're addicted to them. You think they're going to taste good, fill you up, etc., but they never will...

What a **** thing to say. Hope you told him as such. "appreciate that you're trying to motivate me BUT...that does not serve any purpose but to defeat me before I even get a chance to start."

1st boy - V8 (though the last trimester I couldn't stand it. Before then, though, I drank gallons of the stuff). 2nd boy - raw tomatoes (NEVER got sick of this one - the more the better!) The 2nd boy I was gestationally diabetic, so I barely had any weight gain with the diabetic diet (boo!) The first boy I gained what I…

Vanilla essence? Is that like Vanilla extract? I like that idea too...good for work, just add a few drops to whatever I'm drinking out of (water bottle, hospital pitcher, etc) lol Thanks!

LMAO!!! OP, in nursing we have a saying - treat the patient, not the monitor. Different numbers are different puzzle pieces and don't mean much except when put together. You can have a body fat % of less than 10%, but look like complete crap because you're anorexic or bulemic. Don't go by numbers, go by what you want to…

Great for you! I know I'm chomping at the bit to get back to regular Crossfit (stupid holiday hours don't jive with crappy work hours). It feels so good to get back at it - and I love your goal! I want to do a marathon, so my goals will be to train through 2013 in order to be ready for 2014. Here's to all of us doing…

Nobody said the journey would be easy. It certainly hasn't been for me - I eff up...a lot. Even now. But I know why I messed up, and I know how to correct it. It really helps to figure out the 'why'. Once you know why, you can fix it. For example, I just ate 5 mini reese cups sitting here at work. The reason is because I…

I will reset Jan 1st. I am also going to shoot for 100% paleo x30 days in Jan, so these goals coincide :)

Bump. Did not know egg beaters were not Paleo. I do now... :/

Good ideas...I will try them, thank you :)

I'm boring...first initial, middle initial, last name, year I was born. It's my email/ sign in name for just about everything. I guess I figure if people *really* want to know me or about me, they'll ask ;)

January 2nd for me...the first is my birthday, and Icannot be held accountable for cake that literally has my name on it ;)

I am starting out the paleo diet...and by starting out, I am easing myself into it - finding what works, what doesn't, what habits need forming and which ones need breaking. I figure this approach I will be more in control of different factors as I find out what works for me and what doesn't. Even starting out, though,…
