ONLY eat them in B&J Chunky Monkey Ice cream or mashed on toast w/almond butter. Do NOT like them plain.

as a former teacher of children w/special needs I moved a LOT and weighed next to nothing. Miss those days and those smiley, funny kids. I was also so busy I didn't have time to snack and going to night classes for Master's degree curbed those bar nights.

use just like beef for burgers, meatballs, stuffed peppers, stuffed tomatoes and meatloaf, just need to add some extra spice (cumin, coriander, chili powder, cayenne) to compensate for blandness. oh yeah, I bake mine to not add additional fat, I place them on a cooling rack that I then place on the cookie tray so they…

be sure to pick a cake mix w/o trans fat. Many of the general grocery store ones & popular name brands have sneaky trans fats and "ain't nobody need that..."

no it doesn't defeat the many benefits of eating oatmeal as long as you're not drowning it in tablespoons of the stuff.

instead of mashed potatoes try mashed cauliflower. cut one head into smaller pieces, simmer w/4-5 garlic cloves until soft. Drain and throw into a food processor or blender w/half a cup of mayo or greek yogurt, blend until smooth, salt and pepper to taste. Same texture, similar flavor lower calories especially if you use…

there is a kale/avocado salad that whole foods makes that I recreated the recipe. Daphne of The Chew has a nice one that you rub the raw leaves with lemon juice to soften then ad gold currants and pine nuts. I also like mine sauteed w/a little bacon, onions, garlic, mushrooms and dijon mustard or red wine vinegar. Could…

eat something before you go - doesn't have to be much, like a salad so you can honestly tell them you aren't all that hungry. you'll also find that it keeps you from craving all those tempting foods. Also, drink plenty of water while with your family. I add lemon to my water and it makes me feel more full. I also take a…

totally get it living in Mass and having lived in Maine for 2 years. I work out in the morning when it is light, cause I hate bundling and if I wait until I get home from work it's too dark and depressing. I have DVD's, Wi and an elliptical at home, but I also have the luxury of a cheap gym next to my office so I can pop…

fruit and/or granola chopped cucumber and dill agree, the brand makes ALL the DIFF. I had some truly horrific tasting ones. I prefer Horizon 2% organic or Organic Valley 2%.

most gyms have rules and signs about time of us of equipment especially during peak hours. I agree w/finding another gym. 1st one I belonged to was near a university w/a bunch of these meat-heads who would do the same thing. Unfortunately, a few of the trainers were also their friends and would join in their little…

when I first started taking it I was overwhelmingly fatigued as well. It's only occasionally these days and I've been taking it for about 5-6 years which is also the amount of time I've been packing on 35 extra lbs, but there were a lot of other stressors during this time frame that could also be a factor in this weight…

careful tillmoph - you can be written up as "non-compliant" patient and if you change insurance companies it may set off a red flag or if you get admitted to the hospital for a related event your insurance might not pay for the stay. One of the new healthcare requirements for providers to continue to receive…

I would say my eyes, hubby would vote for legs (that's why he married me). I would love to change my beefy hands - inherited from father - blech:tongue:

there is none, meat is inherently bland w/the exception of wild game but that too will taste bland if that is all you eat.

10-15 minute walk from T station to my office burns around 3000 steps. Just wandering around my house feeding cats and dog, putting away lunch dishes, changing out of office clothes, making dinner burns about 1000 steps. I'm truly disappointed that Fitbit does not count my 12 minutes of ellipitical steps. So, it is…

I LOVE almond milk and hate cow's milk. I use it in place of milk in nearly everything. I also love that it lasts forever in the frig since I don't use it a lot. It's so much lighter than soy and almonds are very good for you overall.
