I have the Polar FT4 and I use it in the pool all the time, it works fine.

I have a Polar FT4 and it's safe for swimming. I use it in my hydro training class and it works great!

They don't have it in the database, best to wear a heart rate monitor. I am 5'4", 140lbs and average a burn of 700 calories during an hour of zumba.
-
I do it a few times a week, and since I've started counting calories on MFP also, I've lost weight doing it, plus other things. But it didn't make a huge difference for me until I was aware of my calorie intake.

Wear a heart rate monitor. I average 650 calories in an hour of zumba, I'm 5'4" 140lbs and I go as hard as I can.

I take fish oil daily. I haven't necessarily heard anything about them helping in your weight loss, but the omega-3 oils are heart healthy oils and are a recommended part of the diet. I take mine to help with my dry eyes.

Eat them. It works.

A lot of times for lunch I'll have bibb lettuce leaves with turkey and avocado inside. Today I added salsa. Very yummy.
-
I sometimes drink Dark Chocolate Almond milk post workout.

Same problem here. It's gotten flatter but I wonder if it will ever be back to "normal"...

I had 3 romaine leaves, each topped with a squirt of sriracha, 2 turkey slices and some cilantro and carrots. And some sauteed zucchini with a sprinkle of almonds for my side. SO YUMMY.

We belong to Lifetime Fitness, and they have a few different yoga classes. Hot yoga (don't think I could handle that), Hatha which I'm trying tonight, Vinyasa, and Vinyasa 2-3, Pilates-Yoga Fusion, Warrior Fusion, Lifepower Vinyasa, Athletic Yoga... I'm thinking the Hatha is a good jumping off point...

Oh good, thank you!!! I need some good stretching!

How funny, I just made my own version of this tonight, but without bacon, and skim milk instead of 2%.
-
I sweat more than I ever have every time I do zumba, usually 3 to 4 times a week.
-
I also have an FT4, and though I've never compared it to a machine or to MFP's calculations, I've put in the calories as it tells me and I've lost 7 lbs this month so it seems to be working! Also, I do zumba a lot, and I average 650 calories burned in an hour of that, and the norm is between 500 and 1000 so I'd say it's…
-
If you use a heart rate monitor you won't have to use MFP's calculations.

The girl I see in the locker room putting on her full makeup BEFORE coming to Zumba, and most of the time showing up late because she was applying said makeup.

Oh, I miss pho, too!!!!! I made an "easy" version at home, just used box beef broth and simmered w/ some ginger, cardomom pod, star anise, cinnamon, fennel seed and onion, bought the rice noodles (although the actual serving size and the amount you get at a restaurant are SOOOOO different!) and sliced some tenderloin thin,…

I also added 2 cloves chopped garlic! Whoops, forgot to add when i posted!

my fitness pal is also a free iphone app.

200 calories is correct. Always weigh your cooked pasta rather than measuring it with a cup.

It's because of your TOM. I don't even step on a scale for that whole week. You can carry up to 10 lbs of water weight during that time. Being a woman is so fun, no? ;)

Nice!!! I had a c-section as well and find the scar to be a sort of annoying "zipper" that makes below it all tight and then the rest a floppy dangly mess. I've been noticing improvement there as well and it's so satisfying!!! Keep up the good work. :)

Wear a heart rate monitor.

I wish I knew! I joked with my husband that I'm gonna wear my HRM next time.. We actually both think it's a great idea!

For broken chips, weigh them with a food scale, the serving size should indicate oz as well as number of chips.

I make little appetizers- a toothpick with one cherry tomato, a small ball of the fresh mozzarella and a basil leaf. Dip or drizzle with some balsamic, very yummy and healthy. Also basil goes great in pasta dishes with shrimp or chicken, some lemon, pine nuts, and it also works in lots of asian dishes.
