I live in San Diego, CA and like being close to the beach but I wish we actually had a fall season, it's been in the 70s some days lately and I see almost zero leaf color change. Sigh, grass is always greener on the otherside lol

Can you imagine the look on your bosses face when at most he expects to see an inappropriate 'adult' search and instead finds out his employee is not only calorie-conscious but a cannibal too LOL
-
Tastes just like chicken, maybe it's the same calorie-wise.
-
LOL  made my night

I've never seen a parent just sit by while their kids do that, but I fully believe it must happen. I mean it has to, you can't blame everyone's douchey actions on their parents all of the time, but having a peaceful and loving outlook while growing up can go a long way in being more accepting. The huge difference between…

Jesus, what planet do these people come from? It's as if they werent raised to observe societal norms at all. I understand the question, ''were you raised by wolves??'' now
-
I like your come backs lol. Being called fat or, ''large'' hurts a lot but what sent me home in tears was when those two guys said I looked like a man, I'm not sure why, it was just especially mean
-
Oh I've thought about it! lol. It's always *after* the incident that i'm like, ''I should have said (insert insult here." It's frustrating. The only thing I ever did that worked well was something I did a few years ago when I was 21 (I was maybe 230); some douche bag made a rude comment about anyone being willing to marry…

THIS HAPPENED TO ME AT WALMART. Before going back to school (took time off to have baby) I was working at walmart and people would say rude stuff like, ''good thing they carry a uniform in that size'' and I was in an 18. Or, they'd ask how I could be so heavy while stocking shelves. One guy joked about the employee…

I know EXACTLY where youre coming from with the going out alone thing. This sort of thing never happens when I'm out walking with my husband. He is in disbelief that people are such a-holes since he never sees it/hears it. Lucky, I guess; I'd be even more embarrassed if it happened in front of him. I usually don't tell him…

It really, really touches me that so many great people responded with such wonderful advice and supportive comments. I'm also sadthat so many people have similar experiences to share. I wish this sort of thing didn't happen, but I honestly feel a lot less alone and a lot better in general. Even more motivated to leave the…

awww lol thank you for your kind words

wow. your weightloss is so amazingly impressive. I can't imagine the commitment and preserverance (sp?) it takes to stick with it and I seriously admire you. You make a great point about them being in pairs too!!!! I once considered asking them what their mother would do if she could see them now, but I usually just end up…

What a d*** neighbor! THATS straight cruelty right there. I've lost a few pounds on my own already and it strings more when someone comments now because I'm like ''wow, and i was noticing a difference already.'' It kind of take away that feeling of accomplishment, ya know? But, it makes me feel happy I'm taking steps to…

A friend of mine once said there's three adjectives that anyone can use to make anyone feel bad; fat, ugly and stupid. Almost like those three are a go-to when someone cant find anything else to fault you with. It sorta makes sense.
-
I like your response. The funny thing is that when I'm out with my daughter no one ever says a single negative or rude word to me. Lots of compliments of her, her behavior, etc. but nothing rude ever. Makes me wonder if these people who would otherwise make fun of me alone somehow ''cut me some slack'' for being overweight…

JESUS! HIGH SCHOOL?! No wonder you had such a good come back lol. It is funny though, I guess these guys never matured much past high school then. I'd lose my mind actually being around school aged kids, they can be the cruelest of the cruel. Good for you for not lying down and just takin it!
-
No, you totally helped. a lot. thanks for taking the time to reply, i really appreciate it. Maybe if i just go out and *pretend* i'm this ultrahot demi-amizonian it'll make me feel less bad when people comment hahaha. I'm willing to try anything at this point! I'm sorry for what happened to you when you were out. some…

MOOING?! WHO DOES THAT??? HOW JUVENILE!! Poor thing, she must have felt awful. I'm glad she had supportive friends with her, having friends can go far in countering the actions of others. That guy though, wow, what a douche bag.
-
WOW. It amazes me when someone can make comments and then deny them when theyre confronted-- it confirms that they know what they did was rude and wrong. Which makes you have to question, why say rude things in the first place? Do they assume no one will call them out on it? Sorry you experienced that, i'd have definitely…
-
Thank you!!! That's the thing, if I saw someone say these sorts of things to someone else, I'd have definitely said something but both times there were ample people standing around and they all stared me *me* which just made everything worse lol
-
Thank you, I'm hoping I can take a walk sometime tonight, it's more comfortable than walking around during the day. Geesh, I sound like a vampire lol
-
This made me laugh really hard LOL I wish I'd have said more to the people that made me feel so bad, but at the time it's like, you just want it to end so you can be on your way.
-
That's why I joined myfitnesspal finally! =) I hope at some point I can use negative feedback as motivation right away and skip the hurt feelings part
-
Thank you, you're quite lovely yourself  It's funny you mention sobriety since I'm pretty sure those dudes from a few weeks ago had had a few drinks
-
I couldnt agree more! I'd be mortified if my child was as rude to someone as others have been to me so thank you for being such a good parent!!!
-
I think you make a good point I didnt consider; perhaps these rude people are just unhappy. It's hard to feel bad for them though, as there's much kinder ways to make yourself feel good. Lets cross our fingers theres no next time!! Right now i'm just dreading the next time I go out to exercise or walk to he store (I've…

Being on the taller side yourself maybe you can sympathize with how hard it can be when youre tall and a bit heavy; I've always been jealous of my shorter friends that were also heavy, not to deminish the struggles of shorter people of course, but it seemed they ''stood out'' less since they were of a more average height.…
