My favorite things right now are riding bikes with my kids, (when it's nice out *sigh*) And playing Kinect fitness games. I was doing youtube workout videos but quickly got bored. With kinect there are a lot of options and my kids take turns playing with me so it makes it more fun.

I totally binged 2 days ago after a very stressful day, and then got back on track yesterday. I thought for sure I’d be the same weight or higher. Not sure how I lost so much. I have a feeling some of it will come back on next week. Aaand we are taking the kids on vacation this weekend. I’m going to try my best! Lol Height…

Count me in. I’m new in the group and I have those “last few pounds” to lose. Height 5’11” Cw: 167.8 Goal: 160? May goal (hope?) is to reach 165 but not sure if that’s doable. Once I hit 170 my weight loss tends to slows waaaaaay down. May 1st 167.8 May 8th 15th 22nd 29th

Broke plateau and down to 167! Thanks for all the ideas and encouragement everyone!

Thanks for all the replies! My go to workout right now is anything from Jessica Smith on youtube. I love that you can modify almost anything in her workouts. I’m looking forward to walking/biking outside when it actually starts warming up, eventually. I tried ditching the caffeine but I’m failing on that front. I’m sure…

Bumping this thread! 5’11” here Starting weight 199 (size 16) Currently 173 (size 14, I can fit some 12s but not all) Goal is 160, but I’ve been stuck around 170 for almost a month. Cutting back harder on carbs to see if I can kickstart things again. Feel free to add me, I need more MFP friends!

30 down 20 to go. 5 months post partum.

I'm checking by counting my pulse manually. I felt ok today. Breathing heavy but not struggling for air. Haven't tried singing ;-). I'll pay more attention to my breathing next run and see how it goes. I'm not really sure how much more I could slow down. It felt pretty slow as it was. I was kind of hoping it would just get…

4 months post partum here. I was 240 during the last week of pregnancy. Down to 193, trying to lose another 20-30 but I always feel super hungry when nursing and have a hard time finding time to workout (this is my 3rd!:)) Any of the ladies here feel free to add me, I need some motivation!

For me it's not so much about weight as is is about size. I'm a 14/16 right now (185 lbs) but I'd love to be a size 10. My hips are a lot bigger since having children, and even when I was a teen at 155 lb I was still only a size 10. So now, don't know if that will ever happen, so I will settle for a 12! Whatever number…

Ok. Dang. Thanks guys.

FYI - Walmart (or Amazon, not sure who else may have them) has a gold's gym barbel set that is great for beginners. About $15 and is adjustable from 5lb-20 lbs each. It's a good place to start :)

Commenting to add to my feed. Thanks!

Thanks! I did deadlifts for the first time yesterday, and didn't think it was a big deal but OMGosh my legs are SORE today! lol

Thanks everyone for the support and advice. I do think boredom may have something to do with it. Tomorrow I am going to try to keep myself busy during that time frame and see if it helps.

Well, I started back in January, and was doing really good, lost 12 lbs. But then my birthday rolled around, and I allowed myself "one day". Then that one day turned into a vicious cycle. I have tried pre-logging, because it's worked for me before. Not so much today. Maybe I just need to keep plugging on and hope it will…

Thanks for all the responses. Endgame - Thanks for the tip about the iodine, I've heard about the thyroid/iodine connection but never really looked into it. It looks promising, I may have to give it a try. To everyone else, thank for the encouragement. It sucks to have medical problems, but it's nice to at least talk with…

Thanks. Sometimes it's hard to push through the bad days when you wonder "Why bother?".

I haven't read all the response, but please make sure you are eating enough. Good fats, veggies, fruits, and protein etc. Some on here are saying that we need to eat lower than most people do and not only is that not true but it's also dangerous. I have hashimotos thyroiditis. I eat between 1400-1700 calories and exercise…

Hi there. You might want to check out Babyfit (dot) com. I used that site during both my pregnancies and it was a HUGE help! Congrats and good luck!

I disagree that it's a non issue. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis which means my levels can swing high/low. So medicating is tricky for me. I have to get my levels checked alot more frequently and adjust accordingly. But yes, it is possible to lose weight with thyroid issues. It's not easy. You have to find a good Doctor…

Thank you for all the suggestions. I've been trying to spread my food out more evenly and it seems to help. I'll try drinking more water too. I'm only in my first week of calorie counting, so I think my body is just adjusting to the new intake.
