WALMART! Boneless skinless chicken breast are $1.99 lb, brown rice $.72 lb and lentils are $1.28 lb. I add EVOO to the rice when cooking for some healthy fat. Those four things make the base of all my meals and I can eat for less than $30 a week. Yes it gets old but food is fuel and nothing more. Hope that helps.

Congrats on the weight loss. 5 lbs in a month is not that bad. Are you counting your calories on your cheat days? Do you count the calories when you drink? From what you have said I would guess your slowed weight loss is in the answer of those two questions.

Check with the local hospitals. In my area the two major hospitals have gyms with everything you are looking for. Also I will say the YMCAs in my area also have everything you are looking for, but I'm in the other SC ( South Carolina ).

Up at 3:15AM and at the gym by 5AM, I have a 45 minute drive to the gym. I'm normally in the bed at 8:30-9 PM.

It looks like you have an Iphone in your pictures so just download the free 5x5 stronglifts app and follow the plan. It is lifing every other day. One to two sets of warmup with no weight should be fine before you start your working sets. Hope that helps.

I feel your pain with the time crunch, I have 5 year old twins also. My day starts about 3-3:30 AM. I eat breakfast, pack my food for the day then get ready for work. I'm out the door around 4:30 AM and at the gym 5-5:15 AM. I leave the gym at around 6-6:15 AM and at work by 6:30 AM. Off work about 3:30 PM. Get home around…

Stretching helps also, just don't try and force anything. I just got back into lifting/cardio, the first week hurt like hell. By the next week I was good to go.

I would lighten the weight and try a few sets of seated overhead presses. Stitting will keep your lower back and hips out of the lift. Once you get the feel for just using your sholders, upper chest and traps for the lift go back to the standing press and try and make sure the muscles feel the same when firing for the…

Y'all make me feel lazy. I just put a little salt in the water when I cook mine. I normally eat mine with brown rice and grilled chicken. I put some on a chicken taco with hot sauce yesterday and it was pretty good.

I'm not a doctor but remember "YOU HAD A CHEST INFECTION/LUNG INFECTION". Three months of little to no activity plus lung problems I would understand having endurance problems. Since you said the doctor said you are medically fit just take it slow. I'm sure you didn't start off rowing 15k. I'm currently coming back from a…

 I have two, 1) I went to the gym twice a day for five days in a row 2) I did deadlifts. I have had a fear of them because of an old lower back injury, not anymore! Not sure if those are NSV but they are a victory for me.

Thanks, I'm using the phone app and it just said "barbell rows".

I used MFP, Scooby's and IIFY to get an average. They are all close and I rarely eat all my calories in a day. I have found if I keep my calorie intake around 1800-2100 range I still lose weight.

I've looked at this post for a while and thought I would chime in. Do you have a Pandora account? They have many Christian music channels from traditional to rock and hip-hop. I do not have just one song to list, I normally listen to the Christian rock channel around the house.

I have noticed if you find out what day the store gets it's meat delivery they normaly reduce the prices the day before or the day of the delivery to make room. Like others have said dry goods like rice, beans and pasta go a long way. You can look for crockpot/slowcooker meals or soups. They are normaly easy to prep and…

What ever lean meat walmart has on sale that week with a little seasonings and grill. Then i figure out how much to get 30-40 grams of protien per serving. I love most meat so I'm good with almost anything.

I'm not a doctor but ibuprofen and stretching has always helped me.I have been to see a physical therapist many times for my lower back and I use the stretches they taught me. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for your input, I have taken over a year off from anything but walking, golfing (9 holes) and playing with my kids. My sciatica hasn't flared up in over four years. I started C25K last month but the first day of training caused me to sprain my foot from the impact of running; I'm still too fat to run, lol.

Thanks for the input, I use to bike but I have gotten away from that. I may look into picking it back up.

As a married man I will tell you that I was not attracted to my wife in a physical way when I met her for the first time. I went on a date with her after being asked to by her sister. It took a few times of going out before I really got to know her and start falling for her. If I would have not went on that second date…

What's next? Put your plan into action, it is all just words until you do it. Just remember you will stall at some point or have a moment of weakness, just keep going. Good luck!

Body wise 23, 5' 8", 186 pounds with a 32" waist. I was lifting weights like a mad man. I am real happy with everything now. I have a great wife and 5 year old twins. I still work for the same company but I make a lot more money now. I just need to get back to that 23 year old body again if I can.

While I am not a trucker I do spend many hours a day on the go and away from the house. My solution has been to cook enough chicken or other lean meat and plan my meals for a few days and pack. I normaly have to pack around 4 to 5 meals at one time to cover me for the day. I do take a few protein bars with me for snacks…

My name is Trey, I'm 34 and live in northeastern South Carolina. I just resently got back into church because I wanted my kids to know who God and Jesus are. After attending a small local church I realized I needed to be there also. I always thought my walk with the lord was a personal journey, and it is but the study of…

I am another vote for the Arnold Thin Rounds. I use the whole wheat and flax seed ones. 100 calories, 1g fat, 21g carb, 5g fiber and 5g protein. Also they only have 170mg sodium.

Like others have said use a scale. I weigh the serving dish and zero out the scale. I then add up all the calories in the dish. When I have finished cooking I weigh the finished product in the serving dish and divided the calories by the weight. Lastly I weigh out what I want as serving and multiply to find calories in…

I started at 1,800 and lost. I went to 1,600 and lost then stalled for over a week. I went back to 1,800 and started to lose again. I would just pick one and start then adjust as you see what works best for you.
