I will be celebrating Lent and will give up all candy. I hardly eat any but not much else to give up.

I am in exactly the same space. I have lost 58 and have 58 to go. I have days where I feel great, and those that I feel super fat and icky.

Awesome work! I am in the middle of my journey, I have lost 58.5 and have 58.5 to go. I wish I would have taken pics early on, but I am so not happy with my body so I just started to take some. My goal is still about 5 months away. I hope to be at my goal by Cherryfest...

This diet is mainly used for individuals with uncontrolled epilepsy. It is started in the hospital because it is dangerous. I would not suggest this diet, what about the modified Adkins? This is also used for the same reasons and benefits but can be used safely.

I started at 251 and have lost 49.5 pounds in the past 97 days

Good job! I know how difficult it is. I too started at a size 20 and now wear a 12.... I have lost 49.1 pounds and I am so proud. Be proud of your hard work and accomplishments.

I can't find where to weigh in, can someone tell me?

Wow! I think that everyone is going to be inspiring this year. Great resolutions. Mine is simple....have good glucose readings, and get rid of diabetes. I would like to laugh more, enjoy little things and perhaps go back to work.

Happy Birthday. I know it is a difficult age, I am trying to hang on to the last of the months of being 39. Lol

I too have a mini goal for then, I would really like to weigh 201, if I do I will have lost 50 pounds total so far since October 18. I currently weigh 213 so I think I can get close in those 12 days. We shall see....good luck with your goal.

So our first weigh in is on the first? Sounds great! Should be a great motivator.

I wish you luck! I have multiple diagnoses as well, but diabetes is new. Maybe you could share some of your secrets to acceptance. I just really do not want to accept this latest diagnosis and just work harder to try and reverse the diabetes. Thanks!

Good job on that A1C! I just started Metformin and I hate it, it seems to make me feel bloated and I have had issues with muscle pain. Does that go away? Oh, I have take it about three weeks

I am an individual with Cushing's disease who also happens to have diabetes. I am working very hard to reverse it. I have lost 37 pounds since October 18, 2013. I am serious about weight loss, exercise and controlling my diabetes through diet. I am interested in having someone to talk with about these things. Negativity is…

That is awesome! I am 39 too! I turn 40 in September but March is my goal because of my anniversary. Good luck!

I am so in! I am 39 mother of three, two in college and lots of weight to lose. I was diagnosed with Diabetes and would like to reverse that with diet, weight loss and exercise I can live with. I walk 4-10 miles every day, I do yoga and have a Gazelle. I will run again in the spring but right now the weather is terrible in…

Wow! Great work. I am hoping for the same kind of success. I agree that MFP has been a great tool! I love it. Since I began on October 18 I have lost 34.5 pounds it is amazing. The pictures are a great idea. I think I will go do that.

I am in a similar spot. I have a lot of weight to lose, and was just diagnosed with diabetes. I really felt sorry for myself and then I got really mad at myself for letting things get this out of control. I made goals, and decided to be in charge again. I was not going to let my attitude, or behavior become that way again.…

A good motivation is to put away a dollar for ever pound a week and then at the end of the term you get to spend it on something like a pedicure or massage or new shirt, etc.

I am in! I have to lose another 44 pounds by then, I am averaging about 6 pounds a week, but I am afraid that I will plateau soon. 16 pounds in 3 weeks is a lot! But I am determined to do this! I have another 100 pounds to lose and I need to keep it off. I am not able to take diet supplements or anything so just diet and…

I began working out 4 weeks ago and saw nothing in the scale for 2 weeks. It was really depressing, but I just kept working out and then the third week I lost 7 pounds and then 6 this last week. I think sometimes we just stall, and we just have to keep at it. Also, I would look at your diet, you may not be eating enough,…

I would probably take the monitor back...that seems really high.

I am trying to lose 53 by then....but yeah! I am in!
