Wow! I think that everyone is going to be inspiring this year. Great resolutions. Mine is simple....have good glucose readings, and get rid of diabetes. I would like to laugh more, enjoy little things and perhaps go back to work.0

Happy Christmas everyone and good luck in 2014!0 -
I'll be starting Turbo Fire's 90 Day Challenge. I also have a 10k to train for. Really want to make exercise a daily thing for me, no excuses!0

I'm diabetic, so I'd like to recover from the Metabolic Syndrome:
Metabolic syndrome is a disorder of energy utilization and storage,
diagnosed by a co-occurrence of 3 out of five of the following medical conditions:
abdominal (central) obesity,
elevated blood pressure,
elevated fasting plasma glucose,
high serum triglycerides, and
low high-density cholesterol (HDL) levels.
The metabolic syndrome increases the risk of developing cardiovascular disease,
particularly heart failure, and diabetes.
All of my blood tests for these medical conditions have improved
since I've lost 47+ pounds. I want to be able to DROP
all the medications for those conditions.
I'd also like to lose 110 more pounds, so that
I'll no longer need cortisone shots in my knees,
nor be a candidate for double knee replacement surgery.
Along the way, I want to find activities which won't stress my knees.
Best wishes to all of you in 2014!
And Merry Christmas!0 -

My resolution... is to not make any resolutions.
It's served me well for years now.0 -
I haven't really voiced this to anyone except for my husband, but... by the end of 2014/beginning of 2015, I'd like to compete in a fitness competition at the "bikini" level. There is a place in town that has a training program, it's really expensive, but I think it will be worth it!0

My resolution is to lose 60 lbs. I'm hoping to accomplish this by my Birthday which is in July. I have to learn more patience with the process. What frustrates me the most is that I feel I'm doing the right things, but the scale just doesn't budge. I'm planning on getting back on track after the holidays.0

Mine is to hopefully get down to my weight loss goal (about 15 pounds to go depending on the day). Hoping to do this by the end of February. Then want to focus on building muscle until the start of golf season. I have already dropped 10+ pounds in the last 5 weeks so I feel like I am on track.0

I don't do resolutions, but I do set goals.
1. Keep maintaining (continue my healthy eating and exercise habits), and ditch my "lifelong yo-yo" syndrome.
2. Return to running (already begun) and preferably get a 5K under my belt by spring.
3. Repeat the 9/11 Memorial Fitness Challenge (climbing 110 flights of stairs), which I did this past September.
4. "Reach" the Republic of Nauru in my Virtual Ride Around the Equator by the end of 2014. That would mean I've crossed the 8,000-mile mark on my mini-bike since Sept. 1, 2012. (I'm currently at 4518.75.)
5. Keep taking MOOCs.
6. Keep on with leisure reading and creative pursuits.
7. Carpe diem.0
