  • I have been walking/running for a while now but could use some incentive with it as I would like to join some upcoming 5k runs. I tried my ticker and we'll see if it works. Just shooting for 30 miles since I'm not sure how far I usually go in a month. If I need to, I'll change it to more after I check.
  • Okay, I have spent more than a month only doing this halfway, and the last couple of weeks just sabotaging myself in my efforts. But it's time to make a change and get back on board with something I KNOW I am capable of doing. No more being comfortable where I am. I have been changing around my workouts but it's time to…
  • Slow week, but I picked up the exercise yesterday so hopefully there will be a better result this coming week. OriginalW: 224 SW for September: 185.2 GW for September: 179 Weigh in Dates: Start of Month 9/1/14: 185.2 9/8/14: 184 9/15/14: 183.8 9/22/14: 9/29/14: Loss thus far: 1.4 pounds
  • I'm 45 and have lost just a bit over 40 pounds so far, since about January (probably about 40 more to go). 1. I have gone from almost no water daily to trying consistently to drink 8+ glasses a day. 2. I try to maintain 1200 calories a day. If I go a bit over, that's okay. 3. I try to exercise as many days as possible per…
  • Looks like things have started out well so far! I'm glad to be back on track; however, I am starting to notice that I am developing that "cardio only" type of body. The weight is coming off but things are a bit flabby. I really need to up the weight lifting and calithenics because I don't want to lose any more muscle mass.…
  • I've noticed lately I seem to be eating and exercising to maintain, but not to lose. So it's time to get it back in gear on the losing end. I'm definitely not where I need to be yet so this is not time to get comfortable! I was doing really great with my 5 a month goal but I've missed it the last couple of months. Time to…

  • I have been doing the same! I had a full closet to start with; sizes ranging from 12 to 18W. I probably needed to be in a 20 but refused to buy any. I am currently in a 16 and there is no longer anything in my closet above that size. I decided I'd had enough and every time I "under" grow a size, I get rid of it all. Now,…
  • I doubt I'm going to make it since I have less than a week to lose 1.4 pounds. We'll see...I would be thrilled! • I know I have technically passed weigh in day but I finally dropped some and I felt the need to report it! OriginalW: 224 SW for July: 188.8 GW for July: 183.8 Weigh in Dates: Start of Month 8/1/14: 188.8 8/4/14: 187.6 8/11/14: 187.8 8/18/14: 187.6 8/21/14: 186.6 8/25/14: 8/31/14: Loss thus far: 2.8 pounds
  • I didn’t hit goal in July and it’s starting to look the same for August. I knew around 190 would be a stuck weight for me but that doesn’t make it any easier (I have a few weights where my body ALWAYS gets stuck and tries to stay). I’m trying hard to stay motivated. OriginalW: 224 SW for July: 188.8 GW for July: 183.8…
  • I had gained so much weight that my wedding rings were too tight on my finger. I stopped wearing them for a while to give my finger a break and let myself lose weight. Because the fat in my finger redistributed (I had worn an indention into my finger with my rings), it took a while before I could get them back on. But now…
  • I'm also a bit south of Atlanta. Down about 37 so far with at least that much to go. Every day is a step and we just take it as it comes. There are good days and bad days but it's a lifestyle change. I've tried calling it a journey but that implies that there is a destination. The only destination is being content with…
  • Okay, July was the first month I didn't hit my 5 pound goal since April, though I did come very close. Back to the goal here! OriginalW: 224 SW for July: 188.8 GW for July: 183.8 Weigh in Dates: Start of Month 8/1/14: 188.8 8/4/14: 187.6 8/11/14: 9/18/14: 8/25/14: 8/31/14:

This month was vacation month so I didn't completely expect to hit…
  • My knees are making me pretty happy! They have bones in there, and when I bend them there's not a big fat pooch on the side!
  • I lost 60 pounds back in 2008 before having a reduction (a 38G to a full 36C). And no, they did not remove my nipples. I saw that someone said they backed out of one for that reason). Since then I gained back up and am now on my way back down. I've lost 32 pounds and have reduced from a 42DD to a 40DD (soon to be a 38).…
  • Not sure why there isn't much follow up with people on this topic but I'm going to keep chiming in. Woohoo! I made my 10 pounds and I’m still trucking. I would love to hit 15 before vacation on the 19th but I will be ecstatic just getting under 190. SW: 202.6 GW: 192.6 5/27/14: 200.4 6/3/14: 200.2 6/10/14: 198.2 6/17/14:…
  • Slow start this month. Hopefully that’s not a sign that I won’t make it. I’ll just have to up my exercise…which is going to be interesting because we go on vacation in a little over a week. I did note that the place we’re staying has a little workout room so I’ll be able to do some stuff anyway. OriginalW: 224 SW for July:…
  • It would seem to me that your initial weight loss of 5 pounds would include the loss of water weight. A normal healthy weight loss per week is usually considered to be 1-2 pounds.
  • And those stinking things are not cheap! I went down from a 42DD to a 40DD a few pounds back, but I'm looking at a 38 very soon!
  • I posted this in a separate thread but thought it was appropriate for here as well. Still WAY in progress but so far I am pleased with my results. The first picture is at least 224 and the second was taken Sunday at my current 193. I am 5'5".
  • I’m in again! This has been a great help for me in motivation and I’ve hit it the past 3 months I’ve done it. Hopefully that will continue this month! OriginalW: 224 SW for June: 193 GW for June: 188 (finally reached Onederland so now I get to concentrate on lowering that second number!!) Weigh in Dates: Start of Month…
  • Thanks Sparlingo!! I was following the directions from the myfitnesspal post but it didn't say to resize it. I finally got it to work!
  • Okay, I have edited it 10 times varying the use of caps and lower case for all combinations of the 'IMG's to no avail. What I see is the huge picture. I can't figure out what works.
  • Well, June is over and I’m 7.4 pounds down! Better off than on, I say! Now onward to July for hopefully at least another 5 off. OriginalW: 224 SW for June: 200.4 GW for June: 195 Weigh in Dates: Start of Month 5/31/14: 200.4 6/2/14: 200.2 6/9/14: 200.2 6/16/14: 198.2 6/23/14: 193.4 6/30/14: 193 Weight loss total for June:…
  • Very excited at how things are happening at the moment. 9.6 pounds down as of this morning which is amazing! My original goal was 10 pounds but I still have 4 weeks to go. I'm going to alter my goal from an amount to a goal weight, hoping that I'll be under 190 by then. 180's here I come!
  • Excited to be making some progress! I can't believe the 180's are in my sights! OriginalW: 224 SW for June: 200.4 GW for June: 195 Weigh in Dates: Start of Month 5/31/14: 200.4 6/2/14: 200.2 6/9/14: 200.2 6/16/14: 198.2 6/23/14: 193.4 6/30/14: Weight loss so far: 6.8 pounds!!!
  • Congrats! Recently made it there myself. Ain't it grand?!!!!
  • 31 days to go on my timer and I have already lost 7.2 pounds of my 10 pound goal as of this morning! My initial goal was 10 pounds which would put me at 192.6. I think I'm going to change my personal goal to be below 190 by the end of my 50 day challenge. That means a goal of at least 12.7 pounds to get me under 190. That…
