  • I am a tad confused about my weight lost, honestly I know I lost more than one pound which was my weight 6 months ago so I must have gained in the past 6 months but the cloths felt the same to me for the last 6 months too, now they are falling off. Happy to be where I was and going to stay very close to compliant next…
  • it really depends on if you are hungry then you should eat. If you are doing strength training or heavy cardio then it is always recommended that you get some extra carbs in you to help restore your muscle tissue. If you under eat too much you can damage your muscles and run into fatigue due to your body eating its own…
  • Yes, I agree Amazing it was a bit of a challenge but not as hard as the first time and I do not feel like I missed things too much with the exception of real coffee and chocolate.
  • I know many people need it so it is no slam if someone does, I did it for 8 or so months. I just stopped during a Whole30 and when I was off of that, I couldn't get back into it. Every Paleo/Primal book I've read so far says don't bother or asks the question "did your Grandmother log or count calories?" To me it was just…
  • I do not track and I weighed myself 6 months ago but will this weekend for the first time
  • Okay, we now have more leaders than followers (Just kidding), I apparently can add all the leaders I want so we are set up to go over there. I will also post in the main Paleo forum about the group in the next day or two because people will ask as we get closer to February if a group is going.
  • Sorry about the kids being sick. I am excited about weighing myself this Saturday, and then having real coffee, the decaf taste fine but I feel like I am being robbed somehow.
  • Thanks, I'll contact the admin and see how to do it.
  • Thanks all, This should work out fine I will try to get something set up tonight so it is ready to go. Any ideas on what to name the group?
  • The parties involved would more or less regulate the board and have permission to make a subject "sticky" (or permanently on top). No one can currently change anything on this board just add to it. And if someone drops out like our friend msnucerity, someone will be there to pick up the ball, not a lot of work really.
  • Thanks for this, I was hoping it was easy
  • Well I was not posting to get nominations but I am willing to set it up and stay with the group, also I am flattered for the suggestion. I just didn't want it to fade away and to address the absence of the moderator. Who would like to be in the pool of moderators? I will need some volunteers to get it set up.
  • I am always willing to pitch in but I will not be 100% compliant next month, Chocolate will be returning to my menu but less than before and occasionally cheese I suspect (both addicting food BTW). Leader or no I would still want others involved thus the question.
  • My wife and kids all eat whatever but my wife always makes me compliant stuff and if she can't, like Mac and Cheese, I usually have a steak in the freezer she will thaw out. I also make dinner once and a while and they all eat my food but usually toss in some bread or chips to go with theirs.
  • The one thing that worked for me and made Grains truly a bad thing in my mind was reading about how it was killing me and wreaking my mind. Grain Brain and Wheat Belly are very good books, written well and both by medical doctors. I can honesty say they do not pull at me at all. I went to dinner with my family last night…
  • Well if you drink that much water it is probably just water weight and nothing to worry about. As for salt Paleo and Primal both do not advocate cutting it, the stuff is really good for you and helps with many bodily functions, I have never held back once I heard this and have had no side effect from it. Water also is way…
  • Nice work all, I still have a week and change until I weigh in.
  • I get the same message, perhaps she's having a hard time in life.

  • Most berries have a low sugar impact on your intake, I seem to recall grapes and bananas being on the high end of the fruit/sugar ratio. Best check the low glycemic fruit charts to be sure.
  • I see no reason this cannot be done, plenty of people wanted to go 60 or even longer and many of us (like me) are only changing out a few things at the end of the month and will gladly roll this into the next month or two to help support anyone wanting to continue or start up.
  • Welcome aboard
  • Yes, it is all about healthy eating and finding things you should avoid in the future which comes with reintroduction time. Weight is really a different issue and to be frank women have a harder time than most men due to hormones and that is a fact, but it shouldn't stop us from trying and working on it.
  • Good to hear people are doing good. Anyone wanting to chime in with the group doing this can join up where we made a side group community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/101266-paleo-primal-reset-january-1st-2015
  • Girl get some rest!
  • For me things get easier from here on out. I have no distinct plans of any big changes when I get off either. I was already Grain free (with the exception of rice/corn once a month or so), Legume free and Dairy free for the most part and no industrial oils, but I will be drinking coffee again.
  • Tasty, gotta say it saved me from the doldrums. I am still doing decaf green tea during the day time but the morning decaf coffee makes it more bearable
  • I've done that before, I just ate them, they were still good with Ghee and onions
  • Agreed, Quinn hope all goes well
