  • Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea. Delicious and calming. I drink it in the afternoon and the evenings, and one cup before bedtime!

  • When I cleaned houses for a living, I was in the best physical shape ever! I never had to worry about my weight and I kept toned and thin, and as a bonus the constant physical exercise was a great stress reliever. Housework is definitely GREAT exercise!
  • Good for you! I like in Ohio, USA and I am coming to England for the first time in May-to London and the Lake District! I am SO excited about the Lake District. Any tips you can give me about your visit there would be GREATLY appreciated!
  • I LOVE radishes!
  • GREAT! God is good ALL the time!
  • Hi Staci! Welcome to MFP, I think you are going to love this site! My advice to you is to make small changes at a time (such as cutting out soda, chips, or whatever is your BIG downfall), drinking more water, and start exercising-even if it is just a 10 minute walk. As you make these small changes you will notice a…
  • Just because you want to be held accountable and have others give you a nudge, don't assume others do. I once had someone get VERY offended because I told her I missed her and asked if she had been busy (that is why I usually fail to log on for extended days). She was so upset she told me that she didn't like my comment…
  • Rhonda, You will be fine! I went to an advanced aerobics class 15 years ago and I was SO out of shape. The first few classes I just did what I could (which wasn't much), but after sticking with it I eventually was able to keep up with the rest of the class. That really helped me to be an encouragement to other newcomers.…
  • Welcome to this site. It will be a real blessing to you on your journey to good health. I have so many favorite Bible verses, here is one: Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. So many times I have to come to the Lord for strength and this is what I pray. God bless you! Rhonda
  • hi Vicky, First of all welcome to this site, it is a great place for encouragement and inspiration. You are on the right track, walking is a GREAT exercise. Drinking lots of water helps, as does keeping plenty of good healthy snacks and food available. My prayers and thoughts are with you on this journey! God Bless you,…
  • Good for you! :flowerforyou: God bless you on your journey!
  • I agree with you about the "littles". I find that being consistent with the little things have helped me much better in the long run than being over-zealous and doing to much. I love to walk and to garden. So that is how I get most of my exercise. I tried the jumping up and down, heavy exercising thing and I ended up…
  • Welcome! God Bless you on this journey. Rhonda

  • When I was losing weight, I weighed myself once a week. Now that I am on maintenance diet, I weigh myself once a month.
  • Hi Rhonda, I am a Rhonda also! I joined MFP in February of last year and it has been a HUGE source of accountability, inspiration, and encouragement to me. I have managed to lose about 30 pounds total and to KEEP IT OFF! You see, this is a great site to use even after you lose the weight and want to maintain the weight…
  • Welcome! This is a great site for encouragement, inspiration, and support!
  • Thank goodness for new years and new beginnings. Let us start the year on a positive note, knowing that God's eye is always upon us and His love for us is sure and full! Even when we fall, we just get back up and press on! How did everyone do this holiday season? Even though I did over indulge, MFP has taught me how to…
  • Many women struggle with the lie that they have to be "perfect" before God can use them. I am reading the book, "A Lineage of Grace" by Francine Rivers. It is the story of 5 women of the Bible: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary. As the author states, "These women were not perfect, and yet God in His infinite mercy…
  • I joined MFP in Feb 2011 and have lost 30 pounds and feel great! Right now I am on maintenance plan and doing well. The only exercise I have done regularly is walking 2 miles (which includes a steep, long hill) 3 or 4 times a week. Now, with darker hours and bad weather on the way I am looking for an alternative exercise…
