I agree, those pictures don't look that bad. Since you are very young, the skin will probably shrink a bit. I would recommend resistance training. Look into "You Are Your Own Gym". It is a program for body weight resistance training.

I'd go with some sort of tricep extension.

I AM a personal trainer and you would be surprised how many people pay me and keep paying me (years) and don't listen. The only reason I stick with these people is that I know they won't exercise at all without me there (something is better than nothing) but I know I'm just a rent-a-friend. Very frustrating.

Ok. That IS funny.

Sadly, no.

There is a "Gaining Weight" message board as well.

Go to the "Exercise" tab. Then click on"My Exercise". You can then create an exercise or in your case a category. Once you have created it, it will be there in the future. MFP won't estimate calories burned for exercises you create, but you can manually enter it.

Look into DDP Yoga. I love it. It can be modified to fit your limitations (in fact it is encouraged). Here is a video that might inspire you: http://youtu.be/qX9FSZJu448

My treadmill has IFit which lets me run/walk different routes using Google maps and the treadmill automatically adjusts the incline to match the terrain. I love it and find it really motivating. This mornings run was along the coast of an island in the Norwiegen Sea. For those that don't have IFit, there is an app for…

But I feel undesirable. I feel unworthy because I am large. Like I don't deserve basic rights and affection. Like I need to apologize to everyone just for existing. Maybe.. that isn't true. I'm here to tell you THAT ISN'T TRUE! You are confusing "self image" with "body image". Your "self image" should have to do with…

I have used a HRM for years so I already had one when I got the DVDs. I suspect the HRM you can buy from the DDP Yoga site shows you your heart rate and nothing else. If that is all you want it for it is probably fine. For me, when in doubt, I go to Amazon and read the reviews of people who have actually used whatever I'm…

Why would you eat something you don't like because "a diet" told you too? Find something you do like that has equivalent nutritional value (maybe that's the Kashi cereal) and have that.

Great job!

I posted this the other day. Great comparison between DDP Yoga and traditional yoga. I love DDP yoga and have seen big improvements in strength and flexibility in a relatively short period of time. http://youtu.be/SU5YJYag_2M

Sorry, I think this stuff is vile.

How was the machine reading your heart rate? Most of the gym cardio equipment Ive been on lately read the heart rate from your chest strap transmitter automatically. That would be why the machine matched your heart rate monitor. I have always thought the calorie expenditure on cardio machines were notoriously wrong.

Sodium can make you retain water. The more water you drink, the less you retain.

It isn't possible to spot reduce. Your body decides where and when fat comes off so walking and reducing your calories will work.

"Workout Trainer" by Skimble. There is a free version and a pro version.

Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates as conditioning for ballet dancers. It is very core muscle intensive. Originally it was done primarily on an apparatus with a sliding bed and pulleys with springs providing the resistance. (Google "pilates reformer") You can take pilates classes at a studio on a reformer or, more…

90 minutes of exercise as you describe is not over-exercising and the exercise you are doing is not particularly hard on your joints.

Enter: Beef - Brisket, lean only, raw. Change the quantity to 100 g. It pops right up.

A good HRM has a wrist watch type display and a chest strap transmitter. You wear the chest strap next to your skin while you workout and your heart rate registers on the wrist watch. Many take the basic info that you input (age, weight, sex...) and your heart rate to estimate the number of calories you burn during your…

If those are the only 2 choices, go with the treadmill. 810 calories in 30 minutes is way out of line.
-
If you are using both at the same time in the same hand then combine the weight. Otherwise record the weight that it says on the dumbbell.

I'd do full body. Chest , back, shoulders, legs... Pick a machine for each of those and do them in a circuit with a minute rest after the circuit. Make the weight heavy enough that finishing 12 -15 reps is challenging (maybe can't finish the last one).

I was just talking about DDP Yoga (formerly Yoga for Regular Guys) in another thread. I like it very much. Azymth99, I'd be interested to hear what yogi has to say about it.

DDP Yoga is a modified form of yoga that uses isometrics, some physical therapy and even some MMA moves. It used to be called "Yoga for Regular Guys". It was developed by Diamond Dallas Page after he blew out his back.
