I'm a smidge under 5' 1" and my goal weight is 112. I am currently 117 and having a heck of a time losing these 5 pounds. Is it because I'm over 40 now? Any advice!

I have one girl and 3 boys. 15, 14, 12, and 9. I homeschool until the 4th grade so I have one left at home.

I just checked out my starting weight in November and I'm more depressed. I have actually gained 4 pounds in these 5 months. :(

I understand that concept but I can't gain weight if I'm creating a deficit! This just defies all logic. All that will happen is it will take a little longer to lose not gain.

I opened my food diary. I use a food scale and no I don't eat back any of my exercise calories. I have gained 2 pounds over 20 weeks.

I am new to this board but so discouraged and frustrated. I am a 41, athletic, 5'1" female looking to loose 5 pounds who has been working out for 20 weeks now.
