  • First and foremost, I suggest for your mental health, to not weigh yourself daily. It just discourages you. I try to go bi-weekly on the scale so I get excited to see where I am. As for the amount you lost, I'm not sure how much you weigh but 14.4 pounds in a little over a month is great! And it's healthy! I am also on…
  • My journey has been back and fourth, and I'm currently at my lowest weight, but also trying to beat diabetes. I started at 425 in 2010, and am now 286. I realized I've lost a whole person, but I'm still thriving to be better. My obgyn gave me provera to induce cycles and since then my cravings have been crazy. My primary…
  • @KnitOrMiss I'll have to look into supplements then, I already take 7 pills a day, and i'm not trying to increase that, but if it'll help me I guess I will.
  • @KnitOrMiss I have no idea what my D3 is, I have a follow up appt with my primary August 10th. Before I go back to that I have to get blood work done again to test A1C, to see if it's gone down any. It was 10.5% in April :( What is D3, should I ask my dr about this? If I have thyroid issues this whole time, I'm gonna be…

  • @KnitOrMiss I am diabetic, I'm on metformin 2,000 mg a day and Jardiance 25 mg a day and then I'm supposed to take provera 10 days out of the month to induce my periods, and then I take daily prenatals that my dr perscribed. My trig test results in April when I found out I was diabetic were 307. This is copied from my…
  • Ever since I took provera and got my period back, I feel like my cravings are worse and I'm giving in more. Maybe that's part of my issue. I haven't gain though, but haven't been losing as consistently either. Not sure if I'm plateauing or just not pushing hard enough. I saw from another thread you were talking about Trig…
  • Hey Becca, This is the best place for venting. I know how you feel. I am struggling with PCOS and diabetes. I have lost over 136 pounds and don't get my period. It's super frustrating considering my fiance and I do want a child of our own. We miscarried in January and I still struggle with it. Like Knit said it was hurtful…
  • Yes, If you use Metformin and you drink or eat anything super sugary/fatty it's like your body rejects it. That's why I never wanted to take it years ago is because I'd always be on the toilet like clock work and didn't realize it was because I was eating horribly. Now I'm on 2,000 mg a day and its the extended release…
  • Ladies, Let me just add that I'm with the club of loving Metformin! It has totally helped me. The extended release is amazing. :) With the normal one I was ALWAYS on the toilet. And it made me realize just how crappy I was eating. Now that I've cut out most carbs. ( I still get at least 80 grams a day total, not net) but…
  • 94 pounds to go. Have lost 132 already. It's a struggle everyday. Never give up guys! :)
  • 1 yr difference. about 60 pounds smaller. :) Have lost a total of 132 pounds since 2010.
  • I'm a bit of a data junkie and have worn a Fitbit Charge HR every day. For comparison purposes, here's an overlay of my heart rate measured throughout a 24 hour period on June 4, 2015 vs. March 4, 2016): I was barely active on June 4, 2015 (3,675 steps and no 'active' minutes), yet by looking at the orange line (June 4,…
  • Hello anyone feel free to add me. I have lost 135 pounds total so far! With more to go! Let's do this. :)
  • @aSearch4Me Thank you! I'll make an appt with my gyn. Guys I did however weigh in the other day (by mistake- was on a new higi machine that does blood pressure etc) I have lost 14.5 pounds in 3 weeks! I am so excited! :)
  • Ladies I lost a total of 14.5 pounds in 3 weeks. I weigh 293 now. I am beyond happy.
  • Just to update everyone a little. I hit my first goal major goal! I am officially under 300 pounds. I weighed in at 293 yesterday and started balling my eyes out. So emotional for me. I can do this, so I know everyone else here can to! Keep up all the hard work everyone is doing! I am always a message away for advise as…

  • @ShrinkinMel I don't like whipped cream so I don't care for those frostings either. And it may be harder to lose weight once you're in your 30's but I have faith for you ladies that you can do it! My realization was when I heard the word diabetic. Quit soda that next day and started on these meds. It's worked so far. I…
  • @aSearch4Me Thanks for your support! Is provera a birth control? I don't want put on another one of those. I want to have these naturally with supplements if possible. This is day 3 on inositol. I've heard a lot of people have good results with this. If I don't start in a month, I'll make a gyn appt. I just want to try…
  • @bellaa_x0 Where can you get that? Is it recommended for diabetics to use?
  • To be honest, I'm not sure if it Met will help them or not, I've only been on them a month now. I'm just wanting a normal cycle for once in my life. I was 425 pounds as a teen and they never came til my gyn gave a pill to make me start. Then I was on birth control for a while and then my insurance and jobs changed and i…
  • 118 pounds = the complete Encyclopedia Britannica Last I checked anyways, haven't weighed in about 3 weeks.
  • Thanks ladies! @error404restartnow and @Vegan280BringItOn
  • @Dragonwolf thank you! I will check it out! someone else mentioned pregnatude from walgreens. I wonder what the difference between them are.
  • I used mellaluca chocolate. It's reasonably priced. It has only 2g of sugar and no carbs and tastes great even when mixed with just water. The two scoops for each shake equals 150 calories and keeps me full til lunch time which is about 4 hours from when I have it in the morning.
  • Hello everyone, Currently I'm doing carbs 20%, fat 50%, and Protein 30%. I did hear that if you have to much protein vs not enough "healthy" fats that you'll gain. Everyone is different though. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and I am on 2,000 mg of metformin er and 25 mg of jardinance. I have heard so many tell me…
  • Hello! I'm doing well! I saw a old picture of me from this time last yr and I actually noticed a difference right away!
