  • I agree with the low blood sugar answer. I used to be the same way. In fact, I still can't eat, say oatmeal, for breakfast without being itritable with nausea and the need to eat like now within a couple hours. I'm not low carb, but making sure I eat protein and some fat at meals helps a lot. Also, idk if this applies, but…
  • Congratulations! I've never been able to complete a whole30. You can send me a friend request. While I'm not on w30, i do have allergies to dairy, gluten and soy so I eat alot of paleo food. At least I'm supposed to :)
  • I love Cassey! If you're not into pilates, try Jessica Smith tv. She has a mix of cardio, weights, barre, yoga, pilates. She also has some calendars to follow. It's been years since I did JM so I honestly don't remember the difference. Sorry
  • thank you for the replies. It is a bulky stroller, but then again joggers are just bulky in general. Mine doesn't even fit in my small car so I leave it at home. Luckily my son starts preschool soon. I'm thinking of just selling mine and springing for a BOB for the next kid
  • This is exactly why I won't work out when my husband is at home. He's not even in shape now, but he was an athlete in high school. I know he means well, but I don't take criticism well. I just work out when he's at work. If I do want to do something when he's home, I'll leave him with the kids and go running
  • This. I want to love yoga. I've tried to love it. But I hate it. It's too slow. I do love pilates though.
  • I wasn't going to, but Chinese food for dinner is calling my name. Couple that with the slice of pizza I had for lunch, I'm now over my calories. So yes, it's a cheat cause I went over. And no, I don't consider pizza "cheat" food, as long as I stick to a slice or 2 and I'm under my calories.
  • requested! I'm on Oahu too
  • Bump. I need to obsess over these later
  • I make egg muffins and freeze them. I normally drive my daughter to school in the morning so I have no time to eat at home. I heat a couple up, grab a piece of fruit and eat on the hour long drive.
  • this thread is awesome! 2 kids, both by c-section, have destroyed my tummy. I hate my apron, but it's getting smaller. I have come to terms with the fact that it may never go away completely. I just want it to shrink more. Your thread gives me hope
  • I'd like to know this too
  • Can I join? Are you planning some sort of support thread?
  • me too! I think I eat TOO much at time. My problem is controlling my appetite and eating better choices. Oh well. It's a journey and it's life. it's not a fad diet. there's bound to be slip ups right? as long as I dont let slip ups get the best of me
  • I workout at home only and have my 2 y/ o son running around me. I use this set http://www.amazon.com/Cap-Barbell-40-Pound-Dumbbell-Set/dp/B000VCDXNS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1368764497&sr=8-3&keywords=cap+dumbell I also have 4 25lb plates and have recently added a barbell (about $30 on amazon) The bar I have is about 12 lbs…
  • What does she like to eat? my daughter is 5 and was going through a huge ketchup phase. I made her sweet potato and carrots sticks (roasted in the oven with olive oil and salt and pepper) and let her dip them in ketchup. she still doesn't LOVE veggies but she will willingly eat carrots and broccoli. Corn is still a no-go.…
  • awesome topic! we're going on a family vacation at the end of the month to Disneyland. I'm a little worried about the eating out but I plan to make good choices. well, at least I hope to. I probably won't avoid all bad foods. This is a vacation after all, and one that we don't get to take often.
  • me! me! I'm 32, with a 5 y/o and a 2 y/o. Anyone can add me
  • thanks. I'll look for it. I just used the suggested numbers and ended up with 143g of protein edit: after looking around and using the equations, I've come up with 116g. IDK which to follow. 116 is definitely attainable and I mostly go over that, but 143 is proving to be a bit much
  • that's kind of how I feel too. I'd like to be able to hit the high protein numbers without having 2 shakes a day.
  • my lunch today was baby spinach (chopped up), cooked quinoa, red onions, olives, avocado, corn and chicken breast. tossed it all together with a tbs of yellow mustard, tbs of lemon juice and half tbs of agave.
  • are you eating enough protein? I know when I beastfed constantly, I was ALWAYS (alllllllwaaaaaaaaayyyyss!!!) hungry. Still am actually and my son is 27 months. eating more protein helped keep me fuller longer. and yes! to the water thing. more water means more breastmilk congrats on the new blessing BTW :)
  • hi mama! My numbers are going to be a little different, because my "nursling" is 2 and not BFing exclusively. I do follow the "eat more to lose" theory, so my goal is about 1700. I do add 200 more calories because I'm nursing so I aim to hit 1900-2000 each day. I work out 5x a week and burn about 300-500 each day,…
  • amazing! thanks for sharing
  • 5000?! Wow that's crazy for one day. I would, however, indulge in a few slices of pizza. aaaahhh...pizza. Maybe with bacon on it. Or better yet, wrap the pizza in bacon. And add a fully-loaded cheeseburger. Heck, put the cheeseburger on the pizza. I don't care. I'd feel gross and tired, but it might be worth it. Bacon…
  • this is super interesting. Thanks for sharing
  • oooooooh! i got it. thanks so much!
  • hmmmm, so there is a chance the cardio is too much huh? my walk/run burns maybe 400-450 calories, and thats 2x week on non lifting days. the other cardio is usuallywalking at a brisk pace for 15-20 min only. i am torn because i actually enjoy running. should i cut out the cardio on lifting days? oh, as far as diet, i eat…
