I am eating around 1800 (goal) but have my MFP goal of 1900 net. I do tend to eat more when I work out. I have lost 55 in the last year, doing it slowly. I don't want to drop a ton and have serious skin issues. Plus I don't feel deprived! I will eat b-day cake at parties and not feel guilty at all. I've gone from a 24 pant…

Oh yeah, I was bullied. Girls are MEAN! I was bullied from about grade 2 through 10. In grade school I was called "State Puff Marshmallow Girl"-it was early 80's, thank you Ghostbusters. I was teased about being fat. Girls ignored me, boys teased. I ended up friends with mostly boys, and was more of a tom boy. I…

I haven't signed up yet, but I am going to do the Shamrock Run in Portland on March 18. It's a 5k. Then I might do the Cinco de Mayo 5k.

I did 3.5 for walks and 4.5 for the runs. I was able to bump up to 4.7-4.8 on day 2 and for day 3 I maintained 4.5-4.7 for the runs. It worked well for me.

I am repeating week 3, and I've been keeping notes on my blog about how I feel. If you are interested in reading it, here it is: http://random-mom-thoughts.blogspot.com/p/c25k-training.html I try to keep track of my speeds walking and jogging, as well as my distance gone in the 25-30 minute sessions (25 min. for week 3).…

I am 279.2 and I am doing the C25k. I am in week 3 (repeating since I was sick and not ready to move on). I take it slow (really slow-like 4.5 is the fastest on the treadmill). But I am doing it! I am going to be "running" a 5k for St. Paddy's day! I have good shoes, and I make sure I do a good warm up. Then…

I started at 331, and after I hit 50lb lost, I decided to do the C25k and sign up for a 5k in mid March. I have been doing it for 3 weeks and I am so proud of where I've ended up so far. I am not going fast, I am shuffling (as a previous poster put it). I remember before I got married 8 years ago, I could barely do…

You look beautiful!!! I love the grey top! Keep up the great work!!!

Took me 8 weeks.

Just the progress in 1 year. Still about 100 lb to go.

Congrats! Are you in Oregon? It kind of looked like the Or. Coast. Keep up the great work!

Joined! Thanks!!

I am 282 lb and I am finishing the 3rd week tomorrow of the c25k! It's a great program and it's an "easy" way to train for a 5k in March!

I am finishing week 3 tomorrow. I was NEVER a runner. Heck, I don't think of myself as one now, I am just too big still (in my opinion) to be a real runner. So when I committed to "running" the Shamrock Run (5k) on March 18, I decided to try the c25k program. I am not sure if I am going to move on to week 4 next week, the…

I am training in Olympic Taekwondo. I am currently a green with blue stripe, which means nothing to you. Our belt ranks are as follows: White Yellow->yellow w/green stripe Green->Green with 1 blue stripe->Sr. Green (2 blue stripes) Blue->Blue w/ 1 red stripe->Sr. Blue (2 red stripe) Red->Red w/ 1 brown stripe->Sr.…

23g is not bad! Mine is 27g. I personally do 40% protein & 30% fat & carbs. I just switched it up. I am having trouble hitting the protein, so I am going to drink more shakes. GL!

I use Rainbow Light Women's One (I think they have mini tabs). It's food based and vegetarian. I really am happy with it, no tummy issues or anything. I hate big pills as well, but this one isn't too bad! GL!

I am limiting my calories to 1800 and I burn about 400-575 calories doing the C25K program. I am on week 3 right now, and it's kicking my bum! My burn for the day is around 3100-3500. I am loosing while doing it. First week -4, 2nd week +1, this week -4. So -7 in 3 wks, works for me!

It's one thing I didn't/won't give up. I did switch to a NF SF Vanilla Latte, but it's still a 20oz one. I do have a Keurig Coffee maker and I will have a cup of decaf with and a bit of FF half and half with some SF vanilla.

I just finished day 1 and I was happy with my performance. I am slow, but I am not racing anyone. I kept my normal 4.5 pace for the 90 second intervals and went down to 4.3 for the 3 minute ones. The last/second 3 min. interval I had a moment where I slowed to 4.1 and walked briskly for 45 seconds, then finished strong. I…

I loved the Body Pump classes at 24 hr, and I'd love to get the DVDs, but I don't need the weights, that's why I haven't bought them. If they offered it in 2 different packages I'd do it in a heart beat, that's how much I loved it!

I have a Body Media Fit (bodybugg) and it tracks all my calories during the day. It will tell me how much I burn while watching TV or sleeping, in addition to walking to the mailbox, doing the C25k, and when I am training in Taekwondo. I am shocked at how much I burn, but I also can know if I worked out at a high enough…

I am starting that plan!!! It's a great book, and very enlightening! I am giving it to my sister who thought about doing the typical girl lifting (high rep low weight). I need my knees to feel better before I start though.

I'll play! Week 1 355 Minutes 3644 Cal burned Week 2 335 Minutes 3915 Cal burned Total: 690/1000 (310 to go)

I am doing 40-30-30 or the Zone Diet's Macro suggestions. 40% Carb 30% Protein 30% Fat. I am 282, and am eating about 1800 calories.

Thank you!!! I am starting week 3 tomorrow and I have read all your comments! I will do my best to work some of these tips into the intervals.
