  • It's a good program to kickstart an exercise regimen. It gets you in shape quickly and I think makes you more equipped for more challenging DVDs once you're finished with it. I've started it again, I see results already and I'm about 11 days in. Ripped in 30 is also really good, but it's more challenging than 30DS.. I…
  • I've had shin splints the past two days which I was getting kind of worried about, because that is what caused me to stop the workout early the first go-around, but I woke up today and my leg feels fine again. I think I'll be okay to keep going because I know what caused it this time.. I was doing jumping jacks and landed…
  • Day 10 of level 1 and I think I've already dropped a size. A coat that I could barely put on when I started I can now wear pretty comfortably o_O I've been on a somewhat strict diet too. Really happy with my results so far. I seem to get stronger every day I do this workout.
  • I've had this DVD for years and have used it on and off with great results.. been about a year and I've started it again. I'm on day 9 of level 1. I'm not really sure if I'm going to follow the plan exactly because it wasn't until two days ago that I was actually able to finish level 1 using 5 pound weights for all the…
  • I crave sweets SO badly when I'm trying to eat healthy.. I just have random thoughts throughout the day about running to the store and getting Ben & Jerry's.. sweets have always been my main vice. I never really crave savory things, just sweets. The only thing that really keeps me from splurging is keeping busy. I find…
  • frankly i don't think it's anyone's business to tell someone they're fat and need to lose weight. it is cruel and just breeds self-hatred in my opinion. i was overweight in my childhood/preteen/high school days and nobody close to me told me that they thought i should lose weight or whatever, but now that i'm slim a few…
  • interesting post, thanks for sharing. i really relate to your point of view because i don't think it is something that i can ever stop completely. the times i've tried to have led to more uncontrolled binges. and i don't really even think it is something to be ashamed of, those of us that have this issue are the only ones…
  • 5'4, and my lowest weight was 85 lbs when i was suffering from anorexia after high school :( now i'm around 120 but in poor shape. i'd like to stay 115-120, but be fit and healthier.
  • i went completely off any sort of sweet "diet" drink loaded with garbage a few years ago. there was a time i used to drink 4 diet sodas a day and i stopped cold turkey. it was really hard at first, but it gets easier after a few weeks and eventually you won't want them anymore. any rare time that i do drink one nowadays,…
  • two eggs and a protein shake. i usually only do eggs but i'm experiencing carb flu right now, so i felt like i needed some extra calories to get me going again.
  • the most lifting i do is with 5 pound weights, but combining some strength/lifting with those and cardio has given me much better results than just doing cardio alone. i probably wouldn't want to go any heavier than 7 or 8 pounds though.
  • always. most of my workouts are cardio/strength though. i used to not wear any shoes and i ended up with sciatica issues, now i have no problems.
