I can relate! I gained 30 lbs and I was shocked because i was like you, 5'5 and 130. I was content and healthy. I didn't have to think too much about what I ate. I could never understand how someone could gain so much weight and not realize it. It happens though. It happened to me too. Now I'm working hard on losing it !…

Thanks so much for your support and encouragement!! It means a lot! I just accepted your friend request :) I spoke to my doctor yesterday afternoon about my weight loss struggles and she suggested I come in to get some blood work done. She believes I may have a slow thyroid (hypothyroidism) its noticeable now because many…

I had the same problem. I take magnesium supplement every morning. Drink Dandelion tea in the afternoon and started taking probiotic gummies. (about 3 a day) I also stopped eating bread. At first it was hard to cut out the bread, but it made all the difference with my bloat belly. Now it's almost gone. Try this for a few…

Thanks for your feedback! It's good to know I'm not alone with the strange weight distribution in my body. I don't have any back problems and I've always had pretty good posture. The only thing I do a little different from others is that I always sit indian-style all the time. At work, at home, all day. I'm not sure if…

I quit smoking. I put on 30 lbs in only 4 months! The weird thing is that I didn't change ANYTHING about my eating habits. Not a single thing. In fact, I tried to work out more because people warned me that I would probably gain weight when I quit smoking. The extra walking and working out 3 times a week didn't help. The…

Good luck! I just re-joined MFP yesterday and I'm also excited to get back on the weight loss wagon. You'll be addicted to the site and losing weight in no time. This is a great resource and so helpful. Whenever I need motivation to keep going, I just log on and feel re-energized. I'm also trying to lose 20 lbs to get back…

Thank you so much everyone for your encouragment! It's good to know I'm not the only one that has been down this road. You're right, the key is to look forward. I feel more motivated to get back on track and keep it going. If you guys can do it, so can I. Thanks guys:)

I had a similar problem when I was losing weight. I took some"Calms Forte" about an hour before bedtime with a cup of warm fat free milk. Surprisingly, It worked like a charm. I took it for about a week and then I was fine again. I'm not sure if it was just my body adjusting to the new workout routine or change in my…

I'd like to add you as a friend too, If that's okay!:) I fell off the weight loss wagon and I'm back at square one. I definitely could use some motivation to get on track again and I need to be held accountable too:)

Thank you everyone for your advice, suggestions and weight loss tips. I truly appreciate I read through everyone comments and took your experiences into account. You're right, based on my weight and what I have to lose. It might be unrealistic albeit not impossible to lose 10 lbs. I'm inspired by those that have, but also…

Being at work is the hardest, there is always a lot of temptation. Coffee, blueberries and greek strained non fat yogurt help me with the cravings! Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome Dlj1970! Establishing a work out routine will be the hardest part! I recently got a gym member ship at 24 hour fitness, now I just need to build up the motivation to go after a long work day when I'm feeling so tired and lethargic. :)

Thanks Smithalcuties! Good luck to you too! I know what you mean, all day I was seeing food in terms of calories and thinking "hmmm.. is it worth it?". It was like a bank account with limited funds that I could spend through out the day. :)

I totally understand what you mean, I've tried to get back on track so many times but keep getting derailed. I ended up gaining more weight in the long run. I've definitely turned to food for comfort. I've never tried counting calories before on a site like this. I am hoping this will keep me on track too. We can all…

I'm new to MFP too and I know exactly what you mean about the office butt. I'm struggling with the same situation. I try to take the stairs instead of the elevator as much as possible and walk around during my one hour lunch break. I definitely need to find a way to bring more physical activity into my life. I agree that…
