OP I think this is a great idea! I have the same problem, I'm as good as gold all week but then blow it at the weekend. I'm going to give it a try - thanks

This is excellent advice!

I like to set my goals around other things also, like for example "by next month I want to fit comfortably into my new dress, which is a bit on the tight side at the moment". Maybe something like that could be a good motivator for you too? - not just comparing results by exercise levels and scale numbers alone :)

You're on thin ice asking that question on here :D ...

Is the best post I've read on here :D

This is my plan once I reach my goal weight :)

This is soo true - come rain, snow or sunshine :)

I love dog walking, I walk my dog for 2 hours a day. Once in the morning to the park and then through the woods in the evenings. I also run (currently 3 miles - 3 times a week) and find if my partner walks my dog instead of me, even on my exercise days I still don't meet the number of steps I do from just walking! Its…

26ibs :-0

I'm 5'6 and weighed 11st 5ibs. My doctor said to me that "I've been having too much fun and need to put a stop to it" - she's right as I'm just over the healthy BMI range but seems bit of an overreaction. But hey I'm here to put things right again. :)

Not a specific food for me, but I have to avoid being over hungry or tired. It makes me feel weak and just want to give up :)

Just checking in to say I'm still going strong :) planning on keeping to the plan until Valentines Day. Feeling great and much more healthier. Hope that you're all still enjoying being sober ;-) x

This is good advice, im in the same boat as OP. Almost 4 weeks of MFP and ive lost 1ib and then put it back on the next day ?! but anyway, i've now lowered my calorie goal and still weighing in once a week. The one thing that i'm finding is instead of losing weight my old tight clothes are now starting to fit normally…

Im sure I have read somewhere that it can take up to 15 mins for Fitbit to sync to MFP. Found it !: "Please note it may take up to 15 minutes for MyFitnessPal to show the last sync, so the numbers may vary slightly due to this delay." Edit Also "Time Zone Settings Be sure that your time zone settings are the same in your…

Agreed! - I have the same problem as OP and I have now cut down to drinking two glasses a day....but it is such hard work!

Mine was just like I thought to be honest "You are marginally overweight by 1.8 lbs" - I have 4ibs to lose and then I will be in the healthy BMI range. Though my goal weight is 133ibs to be smack in the middle of the range.
-
I have a Fitbit Charge and love it ! Makes MFP so much easier to use :-)
-
Apple cider vinegar or fresh lemon juice are both yummy and healthy when used to dress salad :)
-
If you look on You Tube there are videos of ex-contestants who have won in the past but then have put all the weight back on. Totally the wrong kind of diet and exercise plan - I personally think The Biggest Loser should be banned..
-
Totally agree, I have learnt this the hard way but hopefully now on the right track :-)
-
Everyone has their own experiences of MFP but I tired to stay on 1200 calories but for me it was too little, I was shaky, light-headed and felt ill all the time - I weigh 158ibs and only need to get to 156ibs to be in the healthy BMI . I want to get down to 133ibs though as my goal weight and be smack in the middle of the…

Count me in! Dry January has made me realise that I don't need to drink so much, so I have decided to only have alcohol on special occasions or when out with friends/work colleagues.

My version of home made Pizza is to take a packet of pita breads, cook them for 5 mins, then add on meats, vegs and tomato sauce (you can make your own or for speed buy a small jar), then mozzarella cheese cook for 10 mins. Serve with salad and its gorgeous! I cook this at least once a week and its only 592 calories when…

I've had odd experiences with being told "you're fat". My ex-mother in law would continually refer to my weight (that I was big) and my ex-aunt (in law) quite famously questioned me about my dress on my wedding day and that "you're a pear shape, so you would have to buy a flouncy dress" - I was a size uk 10/12 and weighed…

I totally agree, since ditching the car for walking to work instead my mood has improved incredible amounts - no more road rage LOL and also love listening to tunes on my iphone :-)

Walking is such a good exercise, I walk to work which is 2.5 miles from my house. I also walk my dog every day for about 40 to 60 mins and longer at the weekends. Most days I walk well over 10k and thats burning over 500 calories without feeling the hurt :-)

Air popped kennels are better (cooked at home), as even microwave popcorn contains extra oil.

agreed !

Week 1 done :) almost cracked tonight fo a glass of wine - but didn't :) relised I was just hungry and tired. Feeling strong !
-
Totally agree - if I skip breakfast I feel hungry all day and make bad food choices. When I eat breakfast I feel easily satisfied from three meals and don't need to snack - but it's whoever works for you :)
