I made it into the 140's and "relapsed" to my highest weight. Still struggling. My doctor added more anti-depressants/anxiety medication. She said our body will fight us sometimes as it is use to a certain weight. I wish they would give me something to take the weight off and my stupid body could get use to THAT weight. On…

Update. Thanks everyone. I did a lot of "soul searching" on this one. It was definitely mental. I grew up poor and often didn't have food. I never thought about how that effected me as an adult. When I hit my mid-twenties the weight started to pile on. So I have been thinking about it and I think the childhood thing…

That is also great advice. Thank you. It gets so easy to want results faster and beat myself up.

Thanks everyone. trying a new approach. Going to try not to stress about it. Even if it takes 5 more years. Haha
-
Thank you. I do need a mental reset. I hate coming on here because it is embarrassing to admit how poor I am at all of this. I appreciate the lack of judgment.

Yea, I get that it doesn't make sense. I'm 5'1". I have "maintained" 150lbs for about 5 years now. That includes a pregnancy where I went up to 165 and was back at 150 a week after the birth. I get up to 160 when things are bad. I workout and eat right for weeks/months and right around 150 the switch flips. I track my…

Thank you. I have suspected something psychological but can't figure out why or what. I use to suffer from depression and anxiety, but I'm medicated for that now and it has helped a lot. The weight thing has still been an issue though. I brought it up to my counselor a few times, but he is one of those super fit (always…

Personally I would make my first stop the doctors office or at least a dietician. People are always pushing "will power will power will power"....but for some people there are underlying issues. (Physical or Psychological) Do yourself the favor and rule all of that out before you start. - Just my opinion. Good luck :)
-
Thanks for replies. Sorry I kept posting like a weirdo, but I knew I couldn't be alone. haha I have had so many people tell me that all I need is "will power" and I am like....yea that gets you so far and then you go crazy trying to live up to it. lol

One last time just in case there are any others floating around :)

*bump* I have weird hours so I guess I will bump this a couple times before giving up.

Yes. I am 5'1 and spent many years at 100-115. My goal is 120 which isn't that "high" in comparison. I have started to wonder if I will ever get out of the 150's though and would consider 140's or 130's as a success at this point. My body has just become so use to this weight that I have doubts in even the remote…

I don't have any experience with back injuries. Was it bad enough to see a doctor or just uncomfortable? If you think you can handle it, modify and take it at your own pace. It is the kind of program that seems to produce results even when you can only do half of the work...and by the time you finish, those muscles may be…

I have done week 1 twice. lol I would really like to start it and finish it. I had personal issues that got in the way before, but was loving the workouts themselves. How do I join the group?

haha Down with Pop Tarts! I get the point though...I use to live near a Sonic and they had this one dessert that was delicious, but it was 1700 calories for one.....ONE. OMG! lol I certainly didn't get to where I am today without the help of a "few" innocent bites of desserts...and I was always hungry. Lessons learned I…

bleh! I couldn't even eat one. Those things are gross. lol

Yea I end up with around that much left over...sometimes more. I am working on it because I want to be able to eat enough. Now....when I was still drinking and eating lots of empty calories there is no doubt I wouldn't have calories left. Eating nutrient dense food fills me up and I don't really crave anything.
-
Yea I find myself having to play catch up in the evening (which I hate). Good idea.
-
Yea I have struggled to get to 1200 on a lot of days and that is bad because I am doing Insanity and burn at least 700 calories a day on it. I HAVE to be able to eat. Not just for nutrients, but to avoid metabolism problems or going on a binge. If I don't keep my calories up my body will randomly decide it is ravenous…

Cheers to that! I really appreciate all the advice and tips everyone. I was starting to feel broken. lol

....and I switch desserts into things like frozen greek yogurt, whole fruit bars, etc. Just a couple times a week. Not because I am trying to torture myself and think dessert is BAD, but for mental reasons.

Oh, I am not afraid of fat. lol I always use olive oil and butter, nuts, avocados, etc. I eat the whole egg, not just the whites and so on and so forth. The only "low fat" food I eat is cottage cheese and that is just because they don't seem to sell any other kind here. I am not on any kind of "restricted" diet and try to…

This has given me some ideas. Thank you guys. I am going to experiment over the next week. Hopefully you don't hear back from me.
-
I don't know...but I am sure stressing about it doesn't help. Stress and weight loss don't seem to go together well. That last 10lbs may not be that important though ....if you are trying to get back to some pre-first pregnancy weight that is. I weighed 95lbs when I got pregnant with my first and about 120 when I went to…

ty...got nervous. haha

I have my fingers crossed that those days are in the past. After I started tracking I realized how difficult it is for me to eat enough food on a normal day....that likely lead to my binging on weekends or after a few pounds weight loss. So now I work really hard to keep my calories up every day and so far haven't been…
-
I would like to join....is there a way for me to sort of "tag" this stuff so I can find it easily each week? Or do I just look for it when it pops up?
-
Peppermint tea helps and of course lots of water. I just started on here and have discovered (I think) the reason behind my years of binging problems. I simply don't eat enough. I have made an effort to eat more now. I was basically going days not eating enough and then binging all of the calories back and then some. An…

sorry about typos....this keyboard is the worst.

I have a watch...I think it is Polar? Mine is the kind you have to put your fingers on to get pulse and honestly it can be a pain in the butt. I try to do it pretty often to get the most accurate calorie count and sometimes that is not convenient. I bought the chest strap with watch combo for my husband because his fingers…
