Is it true that even if ur eating right, logging everything accurately, exercising (strength and/or cardio) that if your attitude is poor and you believe that since it's been 2 years and your still not there that it's never going to happen to lose the last 10lbs, so it doesn't? It would just be so nice to blast this last 10lbs of fat off before i get pregnant again....and then i will be so good with portion control this time around and not gain a whopping 70lbs like the first pregnancy. Then I will have way less to lose after the 2nd baby and have the benefit of being busy as hell with a 3 year old and a newborn.

I don't know...but I am sure stressing about it doesn't help. Stress and weight loss don't seem to go together well. That last 10lbs may not be that important though ....if you are trying to get back to some pre-first pregnancy weight that is. I weighed 95lbs when I got pregnant with my first and about 120 when I went to have my second. I never even considered getting back to even 100lbs, it just wasn't important for me and my body had changed a lot. You may be at a healthy spot and don't need to worry about the scale too much.

I think you're on to something. Mentality makes a huge difference - I've seen it in my own life. When I believe I'm doomed, by body takes that cue ... When I believe it's working, miraculously, my body agrees. Keep it up. You mention you have 10 to go... The question is... Do you really need to lose 10 more? Maybe your body has a different idea of "happy weight" than what the media and culture projects as perfection ? Just curious ... Nothing wrong with being beautiful as you are :)

I just re-read the thread...maybe (?) strength training to shift body composition would be a less frustrating focus than forcing off 10 more pounds ? Wishing you patience and insight as you solve the mystery of what's best for you! :)

Eventually it will have an effect. The only way to avoid failure is to remove any option besides being successful from your head. If you ever give yourself the option to quit you will.
