First, forgive yourself. It is easy to get into an I-screwed-up-so-screw-it cycle. Second, pick a goal. Don't try to bring back your whole weight loss routine at once. Maybe say you will stay on track for the morning tomorrow. Do that for a few days to build confidence then add something else until you are back to a…

Yesterday when I started my kettle bell workout my arms just weren't feeling it. I actually had to use my right arm to help my left arm power up the kettle bell for the first single arm exercise. I stuck with it though, my arms "remembered" what they were supposed to do and I finished the entire workout :)

Also maybe a broth-type low calorie soup - warm & filling plus you can sip it slowly.

baked (or microwaved) sweet potato - filling, sweet, and low cal (about 50 calories for a small). You can munch on it a bit, drink water, warm up as needed. I also drink a lot of water, brush my teeth, and have a breath mint or 3. Seems to help. Late nights are tough for me too.

So I'm lifting enough to need time for my muscles to rebuild or whatever it is that do that requires a day off? I'm sorry. I'm not well versed in this. Hang in there. We all have these times and you are right - it sucks now but you won't be there forever. Give yourself a break and also give yourself a chance to be successful at one small thing. Call someone you know who needs a boost. Clean a drawer. Check off a to do list item. Anything. You deserve to feel good about…

You look beautiful! Keep it up!

Maybe some arm or core focused workouts on youtube? Would something like Walk Away the Pounds be a possibility?

I like 30 Day Shred. It is tough but some moves have beginner modifications. My sister LOVES Hip Hop Abs. Also there are a lot of 10 minute workouts for arms, legs, core etc. that are quick and build strength for tougher workouts.

Again, thank you all. This is my third attempt to get an answer to my question and by far these are the best responses I have received. I really appreciate your feedback (and links!)

Thanks all! This is my first post and you were very helpful! I am still wondering a bit about planking. I don't think it burns many calories and should probably go under strength training but I don't see it in either location. Is there a way to request to get it added?

Thanks! What is HMR?
