Does anyone listen to motivational speeches/clips in their music mixes? I've really been thinking about adding some to mine. Like Rocky's convo with his son... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsD83l6pIT0

Does anyone have progress pictures from their own journey with Body Beast?

1 - when someone asked me if I was pregnant. I was not. 2 - (best one) "wow - it looks like you've been eating well!" ... thanks dad.

Cinnamon bun V-shake :) it's actually nutritious even though it doesn't sound that way and SOOOOO yummy!

I'm in the 12th week currently and I'm down to 15.8% body fat. My goal is 15% so I am very close :) When I started this program, I was close to 19% Does anyone else feel like 6 days is a lot to commit to the gym? I am sticking with it for the program, but once it's over, I want to go back to 4-5 days at the gym. I feel…

I use Dymatize All-natural Chocolate protein powder. If you get this one, make sure you order the "all natural" one... the other version has artificial sweetener in it. It's definitely one of the best tasting protein powders I've had. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/dym/elitenatural.html

If you are motivated by numbers, you should change your goal from how much you weigh to how much your BF% is. My weight has actually increased over the past few weeks but my body fat is dropping and I can tell a huge difference in the shape of my body. Weights for sure! - still do cardio, but focus on weights.

First one! I <3 the pink and grey!

Having healthy relationships is a huge part of our overall health. In my opinion, you should start setting healthy boundaries with your mom. Perhaps you can start showing her how to do the things you are doing for her now. Also, get her involved in a class or get her tapes to learn English. You can explain to her that you…

Thanks for all the replies so far! I'm not going for weight loss. At this point I'm trying to tone up and get rid of some body fat!

Thank you for this link! Lots of great information there too!!!

High protein foods keep you fuller longer! And they help you lean out - double bonus!

GREAT IDEA on planning the Thanksgiving meal!!! The Biggest Loser did a Thanksgiving Special a few years back and posted their recipes. They look delicious! http://www.nbc.com/the-biggest-loser/exclusives/nutrition/cheryls-blog/thanksgiving-recipes/

Great timing! I was just going to post this and then saw yours... I just downloaded Shakira's Loca... I'm not sure on the language part because I haven't listened to the lyrics yet... The beat is great though. Hopefully this will get a lot of responses so I can make a new playlist too :)

I wanted to bring one in and use it at work but our HR department said no... Something about liability issues :(

YUM - sounds delicious. Thanks for sharing

Yikes, sorry if that was confusing. I do not want to lose any muscle. I want to lose fat and tone up / gain muscle. I think this will result in me gaining weight, but the weight will be from muscle.

Congratulations!!! Those victories are what keep us going!!!

Thanks everyone!!!

 WOW!!! Really great for you!!!

I started Turbo Fire and then stopped the 'program'. I still use some of the DVDs for my day-to-day workouts though. I can't seem to keep myself on track and to a schedule with it. I enjoy running and Turbo Fire didn't leave much room for that! When you do cardio (like turbo fire) you have to add the calories you burn back…

I have the exact same issue you do. It really isn't healthy to carry the extra weight around your mid section and that's what I'm trying to get rid of as well. That and to be accountable to staying healthy ;) Props to you for sticking to it and reaching out for support! When I came on here, I did friend invites for people…

Your calorie goal is set for how many you need to consume to lose whatever designated lbs you set. If you exercise, you need to replenish those calories to fuel your body. MFP takes that into acount and adds them back on to your total. Hope this helps

SO exciting! It's those victories that keep us going! Great job!
-
I'm not really 'worried' about it, I just want to make sure I am refueling enough - some days I tend to not eat as much as I need to.
-
You should try the more calories thing... If you aren't eating enough, your body goes into starvation mode and holds on to everything you put in it. Try it and if you start gaining or don't see results, revisit it :)

Running up and down steps!!!

I do one of two things when I can't wash my hair and it's gross from a workout... 1) put baby powder in it after I'm done, it absorbs the mositure. 2) blow dry it if possible and use a dry shampoo... Tresemme has a good one... http://www.tresemme.com/Products/Fresh-Start/?s_cid=google
