  • I love your outlook on life and totally agree with you! I'm working toward a healthier lifestyle myself, which will include bariatric surgery in the (hopefully near) future. My highest weight was 361 and my weight at my last dr. appointment was 348. A great start for a great new life!
  • Heh, this was quite a year, but I can say two good things about it: 1. I got to spend a lot of time with my adorable little nephew, who makes me smile every day, and 2. I am finally on the path that is going to lead to a better, healthier me.

  • My biggest NSV so far has been the realization that I almost never FEEL hungry anymore. Which has helped a lot with situations like "hey would you like some of this fat-and-grease on a platter?" Nah. I'm good.
  • I wish you luck! And offer you a word of caution--avoid the buffets if they're offered in the resorts! I say this because my friend (who had RNY, but after this incident) visited for a week and managed to gain 30 lbs at the buffets. Good luck and have fun!
  • No judgment here! I'm only 29, and surgery became an option for me when my weight started keeping me from doing normal things. • I realize this is a little late in the game, but since I had a goal anyway...The last time I went to the doctor (12/19) I was 348 lbs. I will be going back on the 2nd. Sooo: cw: 348 gw: 338
  • I'm a future patient myself, and I need some advice along the same lines. I will be spending most of the time at my parents' house, with my parents, my younger sister, her infant son, and sometimes his father (in a very small space). They are all so focused on their own lives/drama that I don't know how to get through that…
  • My last weigh-in was on the 19th, and I had lost 10 lbs in 14 days. My next appointment is on the 2nd, and I would like to have lost 10 more!
  • Kalamazoo, Michigan :drinker:
  • I'm looking to lose about 160, and I'm always up for sharing and support! Add me!
  • Hi, I'm Crystal! I'm 5'10", 29 y/o, current weight 348lbs. I've always been a bigger girl and I was just starting to accept it as the way it would always be, but then my weight started causing serious health problems--problems that no one under 30 should even have to think about! So now I'm on the path to becoming healthy,…
