Hi Crystal. I did the same thing and I too was always thinking of food. Two days ago I decided that it was time to get serious. I added some pretty dedicated friends that are totally motivating me by their example. You can add me, we can do this!! I only have 20 pounds to loose and I really want to work harder to maintain…

trust me it's crazy! I hate the idea of cutting anything from my diet. I went on and off the blood type diet to finally come to the realization that it works for me. And yet again....I was hoping I could have coconut oil and still hoping that Dr. D'Adamo was a quack like so many feel : ) but my body seems to agree with…

I wasn't trying to promote the diet on here. But since you commented I should inform you that 'A' blood types are not strictly vegetarians. My husband is an A and enjoys chicken, turkey, cornish hen and 35 kinds of fish if he wanted to but he prefers cod, salmon. and tuna. He is a skeptical person and yet now swears that…

Maybe sip the smaller one reeeaaally slowly that way it felt like you had more, and the joy or pleasure you experience lasts that much longer.. Sounds weird but this concept works. Try :-)

This. It never seems to come from someone that is in great physical shape :-)

first of all I want to thank you for having the courage to share your story. Knowing that you would have people disagree with you. I tried 1200 calories and I too felt like I was starving all the time. when I increase my calories with more fat and protein I felt so much better, I felt satisfied for the first time. My…

I'm realizing everyone has what works for them and it takes patience, research and trying to figure out what works. After many tries I finally feel satisfied after increasing my calories to match my activity level and increased my good fats and protein like beef, lamb, almond butter, olive oil.

Congratulations! You didn't feel the urge to have any that day, and you chose not to. Some other time when you "just gotta have it" you will choose to have some. You didn't give in to peer pressure and choose to have some just because others are. I heard a counselor say "never tell yourself you "can't" have something. That…

A lot of people have trigger foods or even foods that they are allergic or intollerant too. It would be an opportunity to show love for her to do what you can to keep those foods out of sight for her. I'm sure if you feel compassion for her struggle you can get pretty creative. More love is always the answer with family…

Yes don't fear the good fats. I've lost weight faster since i increased my fat and protein. I feel full much longer too. I have energy to work out with weights now and i feel so much happier. I love almond butter and celery now. I consume 1-2 tblsp. a day.

find a protein drink you like to make up those calories, I feel so much better and I like how my body is looking now instead of how it looked in the past when I did various low calorie diets, only to gain it back and sometimes double. I now view food as fuel for my body to do what it needs to do to serve me : )

I want to be under a little every day because I typically want to eat more the three days before my periods, and I allow it, so this discourages me from over eating the rest of the month. It's working for me so far, and planning it that way prevents me from feeling guilty that time of the month when I'm already feeling…

I read that in some people, too much sugar triggers anger : ). forgive them : )
-
I too am trying,no white sugar and little fruit. I read that the body doesn't require much sugar in a day, only 5 grams. I was surprised at the amount of sugar in many sweet vegetables, so I would say if you don't want fruit you will probably get what you need from vegetables. I also use vegasport protein that has natural…

yes, I recently started taking L-glutamine raw and can't believe how I don't crave sugar and bad carbs. I use the powder form, 1/4 serving morning and again at about 3 PM. I've lost 1/2 inch off my hips in a short period of time. my hips were my problem area and now I think it may have been the sugar or bad carbs, worth a…

This totally. I tried low calories, I was so frustrated. In fact certain days that I get so busy and don't get a chance to eat as much as I had planned I feel it, if not that evening the next day.

The scale is a crazy thing isn't it. Mine goes up and down each day but overall I'm loosing the minimum 2 pounds a month I want to (goal set at 0.5 a week as i'm down to last 10 now).
-
Two inches is something to be proud of, keep up what your doing because that's exactly how to loose weight. Maybe send your scale for a vacation to a friends house for a few weeks : ) I did after my husband told me that he noticed that my mood for the day seem to depend on what the results on the scale was. I found that…
-
Exactly! with so few pounds to loose, a 0.5 a week goal is good. I tried for higher when I had a small amount to loose and my weight stalled and even went up a little.

my heart rate monitor says half what my machines do and I have a variety of cardio machines

I'm so sorry. I was in a bad marriage too. You can friend me and share anytime. I will not tell you what to do as that is a very personal descision.
-
Yes I agree, try it, if you feel fantastic, more energy to work out, clearer thinking and an overall sense of well being then you will automatically want to continue. I suffered low energy and headaches all the time. Then I started to eat for my blood type O and I have not gone back. When I cheat I feel horrible again and…

I will go to bed earlier since starting MFP just to lay in bed and consider what I will eat the next day and then I log it. This seems to get me to bed earlier and out of the kitchen earlier. : ) If I stay up too late I start to feel hungry and I usually don't feel good if I eat too late. Sometimes the following day I will…

I switched from peanut butter to natural almond butter. Costco carries it where I live at a reasonable price. Lately I've been using it to increase my fat amounts. I'm starting to see that eating enough healthy fats (meeting my macros) is really making a difference in not stalling in weight. We'll see if that continues to…

you say it has been a while since you binged, let me guess about 28 days : ) I over eat sweets and carbs every 28 days, for a couple of days, and I know I'm doing it and I really don't seem to care but then my periods start and I'm a clean eater once again and I eat clean again till the next cycle. I've lost weight and…

I tried 1200 and it caused my body to scream for more calories (energy) and then weightloss stalled and then I slowly started to gain. I upped to 1500 calories and my body is so much happier. I eat a lot of veggies and high protein and plenty of good fats too to make up those calories. I beleive the others now that said…

I use a vegan protein called Vega Sport and I use water not dairy.
-
add protein shakes to up your calories. I thought low calorie days would help me but sure enough you hold on to everything and gain. Now I'm at 1500 calories and loosing, slowly but at least loosing. Not too mention I'm so much happier
