My two month old has become a part of my workouts. Wear her for walks and do squats and lunges. Lay her on the floor as I do my exercises (yoga, clamshells, bird dogs, etc). Hold her on me as I do bridges (she LOVES to ride on my hips up and down) and leg raises. I also just made and then ate my oatmeal while wearing her.…

I bit the bullet and bought the Hab-It DVD. I did my first workout with it this morning, and my goal is to be consistent and work back up to my weight training. I also want to start running again, but am going to give it at least another month. I'm 6weeks post-partum.

I'm at 6 weeks + 2 days, and have just been released to "normal" activities. I have a drastically weakened pelvic floor though, so I have to modify everything until that is rehabbed. I'm also exclusively breastfeeding, so that is of course my number one priority. I've just begun slowly working out (beyond just walking), so…

Looks like with a due date of February 12 (10 weeks), I'll be adding to the Jan/Feb group. I'm 28 and expecting my first. Thanks to a lot of food aversion, I'm down 2 pounds so far, with my ultimate goal being to gain 20-25 pounds. Exhaustion has been kicking my butt, but I've been trying to keep walking, and am looking…

Hi everybody! I'm 28 and expecting my first in February 2016. Turns out, instead of training for that cute little dress I bought that was just a bit snug, I'm making a baby! Looking forward to maintaining the habits I've been working so hard to establish and welcoming our little one into the world. So far so good, I'm 5…

I've read many a time that Pilates is great for riding. Better balance and core strength = nicer to your pony's back. :-) I've found that I'm better at riding bareback since I've started doing yoga.

OHP-- My gym has 1.5 lb magnets so that is what I use to up my weight each time. Definitely helps.

BeFit -- mix of workouts in both time and intensity Fitness Blender -- Sooo hard to go wrong with these guys. On YouTube and their own website, where you can search for specific types and times of workouts. YogaTx -- I have found some great yoga videos here

Today it's coffee with milk and steel cut oats with a scoop of banana cream protein powder. Tons of great things mentioned here.... I may have to try some.

I'm with you there. This is my favorite time of year. My pantry is stuffed to the gills.

Beets. Brussels sprouts (my SO laughs at that one). Amaranth with fruit for breakfast.

Awesome. Relook up the food, and in the box on the right, there is a little blue "nutritional info" link. You can edit it from there.

It's just horrible what we women do to ourselves. Loved this post.

I like to listen to my podcasts, and tended to find C25K a little monotonous.... What I'm doing right now (just getting back into it) is doing my warm-up walk and then running increasing numbers of blocks. The first day I could just do one block run and then two (or more) of walking. This morning I went out and managed to…

This one is a bit of a two-fer! I had a co-worker who's doctor wanted her to get up from her desk and move around every hour. Her means of reminding herself to do so? She drank a lot of water throughout the day. :-) I, however, struggle with drinking that much plain water, so I add just a splash of lemon or lime juice, or…

3 things seems simple enough, doesn't it? 1. Do Yoga at least 5 days a week (I am horribly inflexible). 2. Take 30 minutes every day to either walk/ run/ bike 3. Slow down the binge eating (trade that Totinos for veggies and dip me thinks)

Best advice ever. I've always maintained that mine stay out of my way, and I like it that way.

Thanks. *bump*

Hi guys. Just like everyone, I'm looking to get back into shape and feel better. I felt my best when I was in the 150-155lb range (5' 6"), and hope to get back to that. I'm getting married in April, so hopefully I can get a good chunk of the weight off by then, but primarily, I want to make a marked improvement in my…

Ah yes... the eating like a man trap. I've now fallen into that one twice. :-( -chew gum while you're cooking -he gets up to have ice cream, either have 1 spoon (not a scoop) of his or have a small piece of fruit/ water/ milk -seconds? try to resist. I have found if I dish myself a small portion and eat slower, I can…

How about the opposite end of the state? I'm in Ogallala. I'd love to have a chance to meet up with some folks. I've been in Neb since April, but am yet to find anyone to hang out with at all.... my fiancée can only provide so much... (as he's being really goofy this morning) Any one else from around these here parts? (I'm…
