Eat your fruit and be happy! Fruit is a much better choice than eating junk food! I am a diabetic, but I found when I eat fruit if I pair it with some sort of protein whether it be peanut butter, or plain greek yogurt I can eat what I like. The protein keeps my sugar from spiking. I eat fruit every day. Also if you eat…

There is a drastic need for a belt, esp if you "crack people". LOL. A problem I NEVER had when I had a huge gut to hold my jeans up.

Honestly, I get asked all the time " What did you do to lose weight?. To which I always reply "There is no magical or easy way to lose weight!". My Dr had told me I would disappoint people by being honest and telling them I did it the hard way. He was being pretty honest. It is a pretty basic concept, Eat less, burn more…

Thanks everyone for the kind words and support. It means a lot to me. I would have been lost without MyFitnessPal. My Dr had suggested MFP to me when I first started. What a wonderful tool and great source of inspiration.

I still got a long ways to go on the diet thing. I am learning though!

Thank you :) I have worked hard on my legs. When I got to about 40 pounds lost I knew it was time to kick in the exercise. My muscles were flabby and lifeless and I hated it. The main place I noticed the flabby muscles was in my legs.

Yeah, I have squats and lots of biking to thanks for those quads :). I am slowly but surely chipping the ole spare tire away. Hopefully I will have some nice taunt abs in the future.

Thank you, It is amazing to feel good after all these years. I can not explain it in words except I look forward to getting up every day and facing the world. It used to be that I did not care, nor did I want to try.

Well, my doctor has told me if I can lose around 20 more pounds I would be at my ideal BMI. The last little bit has been a challenge for me. However, I am stubborn and I am not stopping! At my weigh in this month I had lost 4 pounds, so maybe just maybe I am back on track. I had gained nearly 2 pounds of muscle even though…

Thank you, I have plateaued a bit but I am a stubborn lady I will break through it. I am getting ready to add more strength training and weights to my work out. I think that will help me tremendously.

I take Fish Oil 1 600 mg with each meal during the day. I do protein as well when I don't get enough in my regular diet during the day. I know I need to add a multi vitamin. I am on a few different prescribed meds for asthma and allergies as well as an anti inflammatory pain med and metformin for PCOS and insulin…

One of the first things I noticed was the fact I could jump up from being on the floor so easy. I shocked my self lol. I do animal rescue. We take cats and dogs from the shelters where they euthanize if they are not adopted. We get them vetted, spayed and neutered and socialized and place them with new forever families…

This is my profile picture. It says it all. I was amazed when I did my measurements after being at it for a year that I had lost a total of 48 inches and my waist was the biggest change. Now, I have around 17 pounds to go according to the dr. It is all belly. So I am excited to see what I will look like when the belly flab…

Maybe just maybe I figured the picture posting thing out. The before was taken in Dec of 2013 when I began my weightloss journey. The 2nd picture was taken at Thanksgiving 2014.

Most definitely. I am not done yet, but the change in my face shape is amazing. I have not figured out how to post pictures directly to a thread yet or I would put some up. You can see the difference though in all three of the pictures on my profile.

Morbidly obese looks totally different one someone who is tall verses someone who is my height. I am 5ft 2. When I started and had my first body composition done at my doctor's office, lets just say I shed a lot of tears. It was a wake up call for me. Just what I needed! You look tough by the way. The hard work sure looks…

You are my hero! Your story sure gives me inspiration. I have been at it for 14 months and I have to say you are right it is definitely 100% mental. It has been the hardest thing I have ever done. Yet, here you are and look at all you have accomplished! You give me hope.

So I don't need to log time on a treadmill or walking or actually running? I think this is where I have made my mistake.

I never counted calories and never really realized what I was putting in to my body until I joined MFP a year ago. I was really shocked at what I had neglected for all those years. I am 1 pound shy of losing 60 pounds. I could have NEVER done it without counting calories. Well actually exercising has helped to. I am in the…

I honestly think I had my calorie goal set to low and I was possibly going in to starvation mode. I have lost 59 pounds in a year. I plateaued and it was driving me nuts. My fitbit showed me I was really burning more than I thought. In the 2 weeks I have had my fit bit I have actually dropped again.
