  • New UI is ugly and intrusive. Whoever designed it really failed their UX class & nobody asked for these cosmetic changes! I'm going to switch to LoseIt now permanently, I can't even navigate the MFP app anymore which is wild because I've been using it since like 2013. (A curved edge on the bottom? Really? Makes my skin…
  • July 1st I posted here at 199.2 July 2nd I hit 198.8 July 5th 198.6 July 6th 198.8 July 8th 199.6 July 9th 199.0 I'm sensing a trend... but for the next week or so it's really, really hot here and I haven't been able to do my usual 1-2 walks a day. Trying not to be super distressed about it but after a week of 10k+ days,…
  • Still working on progress but I did a no-no and purchased a dress in a size smaller than I should've as motivation. I'm really hoping it works because the last time I did this the skirt didn't move off my rack... in fact, it's still there. Oh to be a size 12 again...
  • July 1st I posted here at 199.2 July 2nd I hit 198.8 July 5th 198.6 July 6th 198.8 I mean, I get it. I gotta stop weighing in every day but... at least it's not going up! I did a bad thing though & ordered a dress in a size smaller than I should've as motivation. :/a Guess I really gotta work for it now.
  • July 1st I posted here at 199.2 July 2nd I hit 198.8 Progress continues!
  • Starting July 199.2 but I want to hit 195 or lower by the end of the month! My goal's to get to 185 again by the end of the summer, but it's somehow a lot harder this year to get the ball rolling in quarantine. Trying to only weigh once a week and not get obsessed with the number. SW: 199 GW1: 195 GW2: 185 GW3: 170 GW4:…
  • I don't wanna buy new bras, the ones I had were $60 at Victoria's Secret...
  • @cesse47 You've gone through so much, but look how strong you are in doing so! That's really inspiring. Sorry for all the hardships you're facing though, those must be super difficult to navigate right now. But you're going to be OK and 2020 may have a few months to go but here's to hoping things quickly turn around.
  • I got a visa gift card recently and rather than use it, I stuck it to my wall and am using it for hitting my first goal of -20 lbs too. I reason that I could buy a cute outfit or something then which would boost my confidence and be a non food reward. Some other ideas I've mulled over include: tattoos, piercings, small…
  • I hit 199.4 lbs and am hovering. Hit 200 again a day later but I know that's not saying much... but I'm trying to stay positive, energized and on track. I just wish I'd see a little bit more of the results after punching up my exercise lately.
  • Super inconvenient, fingers crossed this fixes itself soon.
  • Looking for advice on ways to squeak in some work outs & any dairy free recipes that are on the healthier side. I'm facing some difficulties with food (testing for celiac among other things,) which is ironic considering it's not helping me lose anything! I'm just binging on what I know is safe. : (
  • I'm sitting at 200 and afraid to face the scale... but my goal for September is to try to get back to 185. Or at least by Christmas... It's so hard in quarantine. You'd think it'd be easier, but here I am grazing all day and staying inside on the couch. Looking to reincorporate walks and figure out some kind of exercise I…
  • Need some motivation! Started at 230, got down to 175 but with quarantine and a year of bad decisions I'm resting back at 200. :( Goal is 130-150 so I'm here to buckle down and get to it! Would love some friends for motivation!
  • 5'4" and looking for motivation!
  • A rocky last year and a half and I've gained back some weight, so I'm sitting riiiight at the cusp of 199.7 lbs right now and I'm bummed after getting as low as 170 2 years ago. I graduated from college, didn't find work and got kinda depressed... so here I am again, trying to regain control. (And am back in Uni for a…
  • I've lost 40 lbs without adding 'exercise' to my regular routine, too. It's all about calories in and knowing your BMR (you can check it here on the site) and ensuring you have a deficit to keep burning away calories. Not going to lie, exercise will undoubtedly help but you can get it in different forms. I walk a lot,…
  • Awesome, I'm excited to stay motivated! Looking forward to participating alongside everyone!
  • I've got a bad history with challenges and I'm not sure what my goal weight should be for this-- any ideas? I'm struggling to break a plateau atm as I'm 185lbs. Would 170 be a good GW?
  • I'm still halfway in my journey but I found MFP to really help though there are some need-to-follow rules for the most benefit. 1. Log all your food and make sure it's accurate! (Weighing is important, it's so easy to 'eyeball' something and get it totally wrong.) You get in the habit of seeing your choices recorded and…
  • Started at 235 lbs a year and a half ago, got down to current weight of 190 and seemed to have plateaued for a while. (Or "maintained" as I like to pretend it was intentional!) I'm shooting to lose 40 lbs more for graduation so I'm really kicking it into high gear. Echoing the statement here that I want to buy cute…
  • Ah, I'm in this club!! 5'4" at 190 now, 35lbs lost. My goal for the near future is 150 lbs for graduation next summer. From then on I'd hope to maintain a while while reassessing my goals - I can't ever remember weighing less than 175 in my life but you guys give me hope! I'm a little nervous about excess skin already but…
  • Depends on the store branding but I lost 35-40 lbs (down to 185-190 lbs now at 5'4") and went from a 16-18 to a 12-14. Some stores size small though which scrambles the brain a bit when I'm back in a 16. I know Forever 21 sizes larger so I fit 12s there and at Torrid where as Old Navy still has me guessing. Especially when…
  • 2500-3000 should see you coming at it with weight loss, just make sure not to drop down too low too fast (imho don't go below 2000) but if you add in more additional exercise take that into account. I've had good advice on MFP from people who say to eat back half your gained calories thru exercise.

  • What gym do you go to? See what their tolerance is toward negativity in the gym space. They may ask rude patrons to leave if you report them.
  • DavPul btw, I wish there was a like button so I could like your posts here.
  • I think you're failing to meet the point here. You came to this site, making this thread about how you WANTED to eat pizza but said you COULD NOT because you wanted to think about 'how you'd look instead'. Which essentially is Kate Moss' "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" thinspirational quote. That said, countless…
  • I'm a little disconcerted that OP had all the time to research the evils of white carbs but hasn't ever looked into the detriments of eating less than 1200 calories a day. It feels like they're just parroting what they've been told and looking back on the first post they made to this topic there is a heavy vibe of an…
