I'm a Fitbit user too and quite surprised at the number fitbit is giving you. What are your stats?

I'm in the same boat as you OP. Being a SAHM of 4 kids, weighing and logging my calories of 3 meals is time consuming itself, I can't imagine doing it 6 times. So I eat 3 meals. With a calorie goal of 1330, my breakfast is around 400, lunch is 500 and dinner is whatever calories is left. I don't get much time for exercise…

Weight loss is always high the first month, and it slows down after that as a lot of it is also just water weight. I'd suggest don't increase calories yet and continue what you're doing unless you're feeling hungry- which your body would definitely let you know if your deficit was v high.
-
That'd be very hard to accurately guess calorie. Just use a no calorie sweetener.

New exercise, especially strength training, makes you retain water. Hence the jump in your scale. 1lb= 3500 calories. Unless you had a serious binge, you would not gain that much. How much weight do you have to lose? 1200 is the bare minimum a woman NEEDS and MFP too does not endorse eating less than that. Typically, the…

I'm worried about my workout this Ramadan. We have 16 hr fasts this yr. Hunger is not issue for me but i get pretty thirsty while working out. And then after Iftar, i feel v busy with Maghrib, Isha, Taraweeh and night Quran and then wake up early for Tahajjud and suhur. So far I'm going to be very happy if i can just stick…

Lol. Same here! 1 serving is just not enough for me and eating 200 calories in 1 min doesn't seem worth it.
-
This. OR Maybe you need to re evaluate your goal. If you've been trying since 4 yrs and find it hard to stay at 135 then maybe that number isn't for you. I'd either make peace with 145 or start lifting.
-
Yes you will. I have been using mine for a while now and it's quite accurate in gaging my activity. I lose the same amount of weight it says i should be according to my activity.
-
You're not losing weight means you're eating at maintainence. You can continue to do this and be discouraged OR buy a scale ($15) and start weighing so you can pinpoint if that is where you were going wrong. Weighing is actually more easier than using measuring cups and spoons, not to mention the washing that comes with…

This. I do T25. I have successfully lost 40lbs doing it. I have 4 kids, with 3 of them under 4. 25 min is a very short amount of time but will kick your ***. Jillian Michaels DVD's are also good, but i personally prefer T25 and following its calendar keeps me consistent. With that said, diet is what will get your scale…

I never used to eat anything before working out. I liked to do it in a state of fasting of 3 hr+ and then eat right after. However just a few weeks ago, i have started eating a small snack of 50 calories (maybe a cookie or half protein bar) right before my workout and i can see a huge difference in my energy level. I don't…

I have a FitBit One since almost 2 yrs out of which i have used it daily since this Jan now. It is very accurate for me. Though sometimes it logs stairs for me that i haven't climbed, but the end calorie count turns out to be quite accurate. Because my loss stats end of the week seem to match the deficit i have in the week.

This is exactly what makes using MFP very easy and long term for me. Weight loss does not need to be eating bland foods or ones that you do not like. With that said, i had a chicken burger for breakfast. Was craving it, so ate it. Weighed everything, logged it and it was 304 calories. Perfect. I like to keep my breakfasts…

Love Shauns T25! I tried Cize through Beachbody On Demand Free trial (you can too sign for 30 day one on their website). I didn't like it. See all these dance videos require coordination. And constant movement without a break. If that's hard for you, then its like playing catch up the entire video.

We're almost similar. SW= 198 CW= 185 GW= 145 Add me!
-
If you had to add 2 1/2 cup flour then you chose the 1c entry and enter serving as 2.5. You're welcome.
-
I'm still new at this so i measure frequently, about every 2 weeks. After i have gotten comfortable with this lifestyle change, i let my clothes be the judge.
-
For my body, i can say that if i dont drink enough water, i don't lose. I can be in a deficit and still not lose if i haven't drunk enough water (min 100 oz).
-
As far as i read, 1oz= 30 cals. But there's just so much variability in there since you can't know how much you produce (unless you pump) that i just chose to not add those calories and just set my activity level to lightly active. ETA- When i was exclusively breastfeeding i had success in eating 1900 and not eating…

Ditto. I almost didn't recognise you.

Goodness. WOW!!!

Jillian Michaels is good for beginners. Then when you build a little endurance, Shaun T's T25 is THE best DVD program to follow. I lost 45 lbs with it combined with MFP. ☺
-
Thanks. Yes, I guess something is better than nothing. It IS quite tricky while nursing.
-
Same here. I had my baby 8 months ago and this month my weight loss has become very slow. However I eat 1625. I was checking out weight loss while nursing articles this morning and they all said never to eat less than 1500. How's your milk supply? If I were you, I'd probably increase my calorie to 1500, add on a new…
-
See my goal is 1625 with breastfeeding 8-10 times in 24 hrs with my 8 month old, so I SHOULD'nt have slowed down no? ????
-
I've been tracking on Libra too for roughly 4 months and I love it!! I love to weigh in daily and Libra gives me perspective. I sometimes like to compare it and my food diary to notice if there's a pattern.
-
Same here!! Except I carry my weight in hips, glutes and stomach. ????
-
This. I'm pretty sure anybody looking at my diary would say I don't weigh, but I do. Every single meal. But while logging its easy to find entries of cups rather than grams. Other than that Thanks for the post OP! I have Android and the asterisks or confirmations feature is not there. So it's hard sometimes to…
