Also I like celebrity fit club,(the fights are killer) :), and Ruby too. Great shows. Biggest loser is a much even tho famous Jillian is…

I used to use caloriecount.com, which turned into caloriecount.about.com. When it did that it started getting blocked at my job so I searched for another counting site. I found one other one but the entering of cals took FOREVER so I ditched that and made one last search...MFP yay!

Ditto. And since my diet prohibits bread and white rice I have really been jonesing for that chinese taste. And I was in the store yesterday looking at those little frozen suckers thinking "if only they didn't have that fried crap on the outside" I am gonna copy and paste this one now. Thanks

lol sorry I should have said, I wasn't going to buy from there i just wanted to look at them and see firsthand if it is something I would invest my $ in. After researching on my own I think the DSE-901 is the one i want. Don't worry....Breathe...Breathe...I won't buy from the mall.

Well at least you are in the right place for support! Take pics of yourself maybe once a week. Then YOU can know that you are making progress even if hubby is being less than forthcoming. If he wants to eat crap, let him eat crap. Just keep doing what you're doing. Some guys get jealous and insecure when their partner…

Good idea miller, I was looking around at varous websites and i checked out the forum page. I was thinking about trying to use the low nic liquid but not the 0 nic. I have smoked off and on (99%off, few ciggies here and there. I just think and I think most people really close to me would agree that I am much easier to deal…

Little salt pepper, garlic powder combo is good. Adobo is awesome. I make it a little different each time, see what takes your fancy as you make them.

Good recipe but I think is mine better. Keep making your burgers as regular but I mince some green peppers and onions and throw in the mix. Then, I mince some mushrooms, Take 2 smaller patties and layer: Patty, mushrooms, cheese of your choice, patty. Press edges together to seal and cook. I don't eat bread so I usually…

I still think taking Iron on it's own is better. You can take it w/ calcium which nullifies a part of your multivitamin. (Ths calcium makes the iron not absorb as well.) I take my calcium and multivits in the morning and Iron and a vit C at night (the vit c helps iron absorb)

Brown rice with garlic, minced green peppers and onions. Also maybe find a health food store and experiment w/ some different grains. Millet, Amaranth, Quinoa, grits. All good. Any always add a veggie, either a salad, soup, or something steamed.

I quit when I had my first child so it was not really my plan to do so. I have issues with anxiety and anger that were always mellowed out w/ a puff. Actually I have always been resentful of the fact that I "had" to quit for the sake of my kids. Sounds terrible I know but after I quit it added that bit more stress to my…

ok, looked it up. e-cig yes? Didn't know they came in all those flavors. Just wondering cuz I used to smoke and found that since I quit I am not the mellow senorita that I used to be (duh, but its been like 8 years. just a general relaxation issue that I have w/ anxiety disorder). Do you think it would be worth testing…

"googling Vape"...I'll get back to ya. :)

yes. especially fruit cause its higher in cals. I just generally put in 40 cals for my veg every day no matter what type i am eating that day.
-
Get a cheap pedometer (they sell them at walmart  ) that'll tell you how much you walk in a day. then you can add cals more accurately
-
Did you stick your face in the tray or did you do the more proper "scoop with finger and lick finger" routine?

Too Funny! lmao

I had the sheet in my hand.... i gave it back. i went and stared at it a second time....I gave it back. i was on the fence for a full day but in the end i was strong. Now about last night's Packer Party.....(sigh)

I agree. I have started in the last month or so to avoid processed foods and low fat alernatives. I put a little bit of butter on my veggies and cook in tiny amounts of olive oil instaed of fake stuff. I also made some yogurt concoctions with real stuff instead of fat free. I eat less but i freeze it in little cups so it…

Very funny. Trying to chuckle quietly while at work.

lol. I don't disagree with the pudding cup. I disagree w/ the lean quisine, all the preservatives. Just sayin.

Make sure you are eating at least the 1200 recommended cals. Some of us need more tho. Also make sure that you get adequate B vitamins and Iron in your diet. A deficincy in either can lead to anemia which could cause the dizziness. Also pay attention to when you are having dizzy spells. A dizzy spell w/in an hour of eating…

Perhaps open your food diary so we can see what you are eating. Only this I can say is make sure you eat your excercise cals so at leat 1800 on the days you work out.

According to a documentary I saw recently water is not that great a filler. They showed a MRI of someone drinking water and it goes right through. Even if you chug it to get that full feeling it quickly passes out of your stomach. So maybe the fullness you "feel" from drinking the water is more your own willpower kicking…

Depending what you eat throughout the day and the frequency, I think most people can get by on a lower calorie goal than what they think. When Eating 3 big meals a day plus a cpl snacks, i was finding it hard to stay at a 1800 cal day. Now that I eat smaller meals more frequently I find I don't get the big hunger pangs…

It is very common to see people spouting total garbage on this site. This site is mainly about people trying to change their weight/diet in general and there is so much information out there, constantly changing, it is difficult to know what is real and what can be trusted. Like the girl on here earlier who said that nuts…

I have given up all flour and gluten from my diet, not for medical reasons but because those tend to be me trigger foods. I recently went to a whole foods store and got some millet, amaranth, and quinoa that are good substitutes. I also like brown rice, w/ a little garlic powder and salt with minced onion and green…

Understandably nuts are a high cal food. But in that small amount of nuts is alot of protein and heart healthy fats that are good for you and fill you up. Given these benefits, they are still a better snack than carrot sticks or yogurt or crackers or anything else pretty much.

I picked a number that would allow for maximum loss, but I also wanted to be able to feel pride at coming under my goal for the day and not go into starvation mode. Right now I have an official goal of 1250 per day so I can go a bit under and not be dangerous, but really I am shooting for 1300-1400 per day.
