Agreed. So many wasted calories in wine. Best way is to drastically cut down alcohol or give it up. Went round to have dinner at a friends house on New Year's Day. I passed on the wine and it did not spoil my enjoyment at all. Usually I have a couple of glasses two or three times a week - not been doing that for the past…

Yes I am probably going to have to keep logging for a long time. At the moment I am working on my coping strategies. I have replaced my wine habit with learning the clarinet for example. So far this is working for me.......

Thanks for all your replies. Some helpful advice there. I do worry about my knees, etc. I am recovering from a prolapsed disc as well. Running just seems like the ideal exercise for me. I am already trying to walk more to appointments instead of taking the car,but it has been so wet, windy and cold here in the UK the past…

Thanks for all your replies. A mixture of life challenges, illness and general lapses in portion size, exercise seems to be the consensus on here. So what can we do differently? I know my exercise lapsed because I just got bored at the gym. It felt like a real chore particularly as the weights section was often crowded…

Thank you for sharing. Sounds like you have had many life challenges in the past few years. You sound very motivated too and I hope you will manage to lose it and keep it off.

Come on, where are all my UK ladies today?

Thanks to you both. I have added you. I was so enthusiastic about C25k and I did get to around week 4 on the treadmill. Then I decided to do it outside and realised it was much much harder. Can't wait to be able to start it again.

I am UK based and have had a rebounder which is made by "Body Sculpture" for over 10 years. Bought it from Argos. It has been stashed in the garage, under the bed and been used in the house and in the garden and is still going! As I read your post, I just went and dragged it out of the garage and will start using it again…
