  • I started this in January, not a very active social participant on this site. Today is a big milestone for me so I will share. I just reached my final goal, started at 205, and my ideal target weight is 175 so had 30 lbs to lose. There are 2 things that helped me most with mfp, being completely honest with logging…
  • I see there is an website with a 100 push up program: http://hundredpushups.com/ Is this a support group to encourage and motivate us to follow that program? Well if it is not, looks like a great resource for people of all initial abilities to follow.
  • I am giving it a go. I started Monday, could do about 20 at a time so I did 5 sets of 20 to start out. Planning on doing another 5 sets today & again on Friday, then I'll try and work up each week until I can do 100 without stopping. Is this a good strategy, or is there any other advice on how to go about achieving this…
  • What is the goal? 100/week, 100/day, or 100 without stopping?
  • When I run (or think about skipping a run), I think about veterans and soldiers. On every single run I spend some time thinking about my brother and a few very specific young Marines who were in Sangin, Afghanistan with my brother. My brother is a Corpsman in the US Navy, the US Marines don't have medics, so Navy Corpsman…

  • Hey Hey, I just weighed myself. Just passed my first stone!
  • Yeah, I have google and actually googled it after I posted the question. I was thinking it was a weight loss, fitness, or mfp specific term for this community and does seems like a pretty silly question to be posting here in hindsight, but I do enjoy reading all of this dialogue about the diversity around measurement…
  • Thanks, I guess I need to get out of the States more often.
  • Interesting post. I guess if there is empirical scientific evidence that the body does not differentiate between fructose, or sugar, then nothing sweet to the human taste bud should be consumed when trying to lose pounds may be a valid point. I do think that health is about balance and moderation. I am not in the…
  • I just can't imagine fruit being bad for health, what is more natural than fruit (besides anti pest and hormone treatments)? I am new to MFP, but seems like balancing a spirited exercise routine and using this tool to keep myself honest with regulating what I eat and drink is working so far. Anyway, I vote Y for fruit.
  • Can't wait until next ski trip
