That's awesome! I went to run my 3 miles and my Hubby decided he was going to come with. Instead of the 5k I was going to run we ran C25K week 2 for him. Now he's ready to do the whole program! Congrats to you and your wife!

I have always walked and jogged outside. I tried to walk on treadmill and it just didn't feel right. Felt like I was just trying to keep up with the machine. I agree with ladybg81 if you use the treadmill make sure you put it on an incline of about 3. Also I would suggest the couch to 5k program to start running. I was NOT…

I have slowly unlocked workouts by doing the lower ones. I think, maybe, I did the beginner workouts like 6 times each and then the intermediate were opened. But I don't know for sure.

I have both. I do Zumba on wii when it is raining out or I just don't feel like going outside to exercise. I just finished day 5 of 30 day shred and its a great work out. I had to try it. People have gotten great results and it is cheap. Good Luck!

I think if you happy with your weight loss with drinking then I wouldn't worry about it. If you are unhappy try cutting back to eliminating it to only on rare occasions. I too have a drink every now and then and I still lose 1-2 per week.

I use zumba fitness but I have a HRM to track my calories burned. It is fun I don't do it everyday. i do it when I don't go out for walk or running c25k

i bought walking shoes from zappos.com for $100. That was before I started c25k. I still use the "walking" shoes and wonder the same if I should have a "running" shoe. I am not having shin splints of anything so I assume I am ok. When I need shoes again I will consider getting running shoes but for now I feel that I am ok.

MPF already gives you a deficit on your calorie in take and that amount depends on how much you are looking to loose (500 cal for 1 pound per wk). even if you did no exercise you would still lose weight. If you don't eat some or all of the calories your burn you may not be getting you body enough fuel to get though the day.

I still have a drink or 2 a couple of days a week and it doesn't seem to affect my weight loss. I have been counting calories since March and have lost 1-2 lbs a week. I enjoy to have a drink and I am not going to cut it out of my day because it is "slowing" me down.

I try to eat more healthier and better portion size (watching calories). I still eat what I use to before my weight lost journey. This to me is a life style change and not a "diet". I not going deprive myself of the things I enjoy to eat and drink. I just have to them in moderation.
