Do you have anyone close by (family/friend) that can help keep you accountable? Personally, I feel the MFP for the most part can keep me motivated. If I don't log stuff, I feel guilty. I've developed a base of friends that I look forward to sharing and seeing what they've done daily. I think it keeps us all motivated. But,…

Could you try replacing your late night food binges with water?

The first step is believing in yourself. If you don't believe in yourself, or don't take the effort to change, you'll just fall back into a rut or downward spiral. You came back here, so obviously you DO care, which is great. Now you can surround yourself with others that have similar goals, and have that support system…

I have a pair of Crossfit Reebok Nano's. Love them. Very lightweight and comfortable!

I agree with the above poster. Sounds like you are a good candidate for protein powder/shakes. Have it with some whole milk. Sometimes it is easier for people to drink their calories/protein. I use Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey. It only has 1 gram of sugar in it per serving.

Awesome! Good for you!

I love just sprinkling ground pepper on mine as well. I know a lot of people like mixing fruit into it as well.

I have a protein shake with Almond Milk after my workouts, and first thing in the morning when I wake up. I do love dairy milk, but I have rosacea on my face, and it's a huge trigger for me, so I've been trying to cut out dairy milk from my everyday foods.

I had Italian seasoned ground turkey on hamburger buns, and water. My dinner was also around 8:30pm.

Taking action and doing movement is progress, especially if none has been done in the past. As for the pushups, try doing them standing, against the wall. Think of the wall as the floor. Instead of you going down on the floor, simply stand and try to do some. As you become more proficient, move your feet further away from…

Congratulations on your 1 year commitment, and obvious success! Keep it up!

I agree with the fat loss. That will get rid of the flabbiness of them. However, pushups, dips, etc will help tone them.

Congrats man! What is your goal weight?

I just started before the New Year myself. I've lost 10lbs so far, and always looking for friends and offering up support too. Feel free to add me!

Thanks for the responses everyone, I appreciate it! However, I did end up listing it up for bid today.

I go to the gym right after work to avoid this feeling too. My hard time is the weekends, because those are my rest days. I have done well though so far. It is weird though how a lot of us resort to eating if we are bored.

Good for you! And now you know that you do not have to cut those things you enjoy completely out of your lifestyle. Everything in moderation will keep you happier, and will not set you back on your goals as long as you stay within your calorie goals!

Protein shakes also contain BCAA's (branched chain amino acids) which are essential for muscle growth/maintenance & recovery. As for the sugar content, they really don't contain that much sugar. I use Optimum Nutrition's 100% Gold Whey Protein. It contains only 1g of sugar per serving, which is 30.4grams. I mix it with…

Might have to turn around and do that!

Lost 10 here, between eating well and Crossfit training.

You got this buddy!

Nice job! I am right there with ya!

It is just water retention, most likely from the high amounts of sodium. Don't panic, it will come back off!

My brother in law moved from the Boston area out to Washington State and he loves it out there. Besides it being rainy a good portion of the year, there's a ton of stuff to see, and if you are active, the mountains out there are nothing like we have on the East Coast! Also, Vancouver isn't far away either. Good luck on…

Yeah, you guys are right. I'm not trying to scam anyone here, just didn't think this fully through I guess. If I'm stuck with it, I'm stuck with it. My brother is potentially interested, but I may just end up keeping it and testing it out.

It was purchased off of eBay.

Sounds like you are on the right path. Stay strong. Do you weigh your food, or just measure? If you are measuring, I would highly recommend buying a 20 dollar digital scale and weigh your food. Also, water consumption is so important. It flushes toxins, and excess water in the body. Try to get your 8 a day. I would say if…
