I've been eating LCHF for four weeks now. My diary is open to friends, so feel free to add me!

Sometimes, I make a batch of these Zesty Cheddar Biscuits: nobunplease.com/zesty-cheddar-biscuits/ They are delicious and store pretty well in the fridge. I'll heat one up in the microwave and add some bacon or ham. (I also usually fry and egg with it as well.) Makes a great breakfast sandwich, and it's quick and easy!

Cheeseburger salad with sauteed onions. Bacon-wrapped chicken breasts, stuffed with a mixture of cream cheese, sweet peppers and herbs, with a side of steamed cauliflower and romanesco and garlic butter And this is a ham and cheese stromboli. Found the recipe on Ruled.Me. My crust fell apart, but it was delicious!

I count net carbs. I try to stay close to 20 net carbs a day, although a couple of times I've been closer to 30 net and I've still stayed in ketosis. I tried store bought low carb tortillas in the past, but didn't like the texture. I found a couple of recipes on Ruled.Me and Pinterest for low carb biscuits and crusts made…

@youngriem You should join the Low Carbers Daily Form group. All of the members are doing some form of low-carb diet. You'll find a wealth of information and support on that forum!

I tried WW a few years ago. I did the online plan for about 6 months. I lost NOTHING. They were doing the program where many vegetables and fruits were 0 points, which doesn't really make sense to me. I've had much better success counting calories with MFP, and it's free!

Peace Love and Low Carb has a great recipe for Chicken Bacon Crockpot Chowder: peaceloveandlowcarb.com/2012/03/chicken-bacon-crock-pot-chowder.html. I've made this twice, and we absolutely love it! It would be perfect for a snowy winter evening.

... your sister-in-law tells you that on numerous occasions she has caught your 4-year-old niece eating sticks of butter, and you think, "that's my kind of girl!"

It IS delicious. I had tried it about six months ago, but it made me queasy, so I gave up on it. I've had it the last couple of days, but only after I had eaten something, and it didn't make me sick at all. Yesterday morning, I had it for breakfast, along with eggs, bacon and cream cheese pancakes. Then I went on a 7-mile…

I lost both of my parents in 2013. My dad had a heart attack while he was driving and it caused him to wreck his vehicle, and my mom lost her fight against breast cancer 8 months later. My dad was 52 and my mom was only 49. They both come from families that have a host of health issues: heart disease, diabetes, cancer,…

You look wonderful! And I adore your new haircut!

The last couple of weeks I've been making a salad with two chopped boiled eggs, two slices of bacon (crumbled), chopped red onion, an avocado and salt. I usually pack a knife in my lunchbox and chop up the avocado right before I'm ready to eat so it doesn't turn brown, but I have everything else already prepared. It's…

I understand what you're going through. I recently was diagnosed with an autoimmune issue, and my doctor suggested doing an elimination diet to see if some of the foods I'm eating are triggering flare ups. I have pretty much narrowed it down to nightshades, gluten and dairy. Needless to say, I was really upset at first,…

Congratulations on your progress! You're looking great!

I have the same problem when I do low carb. I'm doing the Paleo AIP for a recently diagnosed autoimmune disorder, so I've had to cut out dairy and sweetener in my morning coffee. Instead I've been putting a tablespoon of coconut oil in it, and now my digestive system is running like a well-oiled machine.

@professionalHobbyist Thank you for the kind words of encouragement! @wheatlessgirl66 Thank you! I do feel like a million bucks! I have way more energy than I did 40 pounds ago. The funny thing is, I was at my heaviest weight when I was in my 20s. Now I'm 32, and I look and feel better than I did a decade ago.
