  • Hello! Welcome back! I don't know much about blood sugar, but I know about stress and emotional eating! :D
  • Hello from the opposite coast! B)
  • Welcome back!!!! Congrats on your progress and motivation! <3
  • I would suggest finding something that you love to do, even if it is a bit of zumba on the wii or whatever thing there is now-a-days and try to do that as much as possible. Also, get active with the family. Going to parks and hiking, bike riding, going swimming (when it's warm) and all of that would be good. For eating,…
  • Tampa Here! I used to live in Tallanasty and Ft Lauderdale :]
  • Don't Stop Me Now is my daily pick-me-up song. It has kept me from going crazy in grad school!
  • When I'm successfully getting fit and my family members start telling me what I should be doing because they're professional yo-yo dieters.
  • Hello and welcome! You sound super motivated and great job quitting smoking! Maybe cooking or exercising can be your new outlet. It became mine for my anxiety and so far so good. 100lbs is going to be amazing! There are some other posts about people wanting to lose or have lost that much if you would like to search for…
  • Ug, people are all up in the op's face just because she's had to state a billion times that she's at a deficit and has a nutritionist. Honestly, I would try switching things up with exercise or challenge myself to push as hard as I can for a few months. I'm not sure what to do about the food though. Ask that nutritionist…
  • I use it for stuffed chicken or lasagna For the chicken, get some thin chicken breasts, spinach, dill, ricotta, feta, garlic, and parsley. Cook the spinach and garlic then add it to a mix of everything else. Put some in the chicken, roll/fold them so they look stuffed and bake them. You can bread them if you want too. I…
  • It's like saying *kitten* hit the fan or *kitten* just got real. Life happens and they might not want to go into detail. Sometimes crises happen all at once and fitness gets pushed on the backburner because they're entering survival mode. Sure, I could have focused on not eating so much when my "life happened," but people…
  • I always find that prolonged direct eye contact while they talk to me keeps people from saying horrible things because it makes them too uncomfortable. Just long periods of direct eye contact. Straight face, no words, just stare at their eyeballs. They'll think you're crazy and no one wants to piss off a crazy person. C:
  • I think of it like using weights. Yeah, you can probably do 100 curls with 5lb weights, but doing 20 with 25lb weights would feel differently and maybe better. So when I use the elliptical I try to increase the resistance and focus on what I feel and try to get faster then I increase it again. Idk if that helps because I'm…
  • You're right where I was when I first started! :D I think losing weight became easier in Grad school just because the classes are easier to work around. What I did was teach myself how to cook healthy meals and pick out foods that I know I will eat. Its not only good for nutrition, but it's good for mental health to focus…
  • Idk why people think you owe your parents money for rent or tuition. They're investing in you and thats not a bad thing. It's not a bad thing to live with parents. That $100 was yours and you had the right to help your friend. If your mother is upset thats a personal issue. She should be proud to have a child who would go…
  • I like to do new things just because I get bored or want to test my limits. I also think it's great to see what other muscles you can work on when switching up the routine. I'm not sure about tricking the body or anything like that, but it's more fun trying other things. As long as you're enjoying what you're doing I think…
  • Beautiful words! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • My advice would be to throw away the scale and enjoy life. Don't get fixated on a number! If your body is happy at 140, enjoy that! If you want to change how you look, focus on that. But don't pay any attention to a silly number. Try weight training or other exercises that you would like. :flowerforyou:
  • I hear ya! But think of all of the greatness that number doesn't show! You have been working hard and even if the scale doesn't show it, you should be proud! Way to go!!! Sending positive vibes <3
  • I think that if you would eat properly and get all of your nutrients then it shouldn't be a problem. But if you become fixated on a number that you are questioning then it might be more important to think of the reasoning behind why you are looking towards 110 and make sure that reason is healthy. I don't want to seem like…
