I am also a twin mom - my boys are almost 7, but I don't have an infant. I agree with the others - focus on getting rest and eating better. I found logging easier when I pre-logged. Even if it means eating a lot of the same foods for breakfast and lunch every day so I can just copy them over. Get lots of protein to help…

Glad to see you back on the forums and providing your awesome advice, Mischievous!!!

For protein without a lot of calories, I love Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt - only 80 calories and 12 g of protein. I have about 2-3 a day.

This is waaaaaaay too Martha Stewart for me. Is there a restaurant that serves this delectable concoction?

I already had plans for BK tonight. Going to have a Double Stack and still be under my calorie goal. And later I'll have some dark chocolate and cookies. But to each his own.

I eat fast food several meals a week, and I'm losing weight. I'm going to McDonald's tonight and I'm going to have a McDouble (no fries.) I figure out how to make it work within my calories.

I have good news for you - you don't need to exercise to lose weight. It will help, since an active person burns more calories than an inactive one, but it's not required. All you need to do is eat at a deficit. I've found that as I've lost weight, I have more energy. Now if I could only find the time... Good luck to you!

The book suggests donating blood to lose weight. LOL

I think you hit the nail on the head, Fentyman!

I know everyone raves about Quest, but I just can't bear to pay nearly $2.00 per bar. I get mine by the box from amazon and usually pay less than $1.00 for the ones I get. Here are some of my favorites: 1. Think Think - 20g of protein, 230-240 calories. My favorites are the peanut butter ones. Brownie Crunch is good. 2.…

How is this going to be a lifestyle change if you love carbs and this is going to be brutal? Do you plan to stick to a brutal, painful diet for the rest of your life? I prefer to lose weight eating pizza and chocolate, but to each his own.

I agree with the Thrift store idea. I believe stores labeled "Consignment" stores may have higher quality clothes. Also clearance racks. Once thing I did when I was between sizes (but gaining) was buy a lot of shorts and capri pants that had drawstrings at the waist. These are just casual weekend clothes, but I'm still…

If you eat a lot of it, wouldn't that make it even more important to log it? If you have about the same amount each day, why not weigh it and log it once, and just use that entry every day if it's about the same every day? Just a thought.

You didn't post any "proof" to be debunked. You told us to research it ourselves. I posted the results of a google search on a human needing only 8 grams a day of protein and nothing came up to back up what you said.

Since she refuses to provide her source, and has instead told us to research it ourselves, I googled "Do humans only need 8 grams of protein a day?" and got this: https://www.google.com/#q=do+humans+only+need+8+grams+of+protein+a+day%3F The first link is to the Centers for Disease Control with a recommendation for women…

This reminds me of a great joke: How do you know someone's a vegan? Don't worry they'll tell you!

No Country for Old Men - it was so so but definitely not worth the hype Titanic (not sure that was critically acclaimed) The English Patiant - I hated that movie!!!! Lost in Translation - any time Bill Murray does a non-comedy, it automatically gets raves. Why??? And I'm sad that someone said The Godfather movies. Those…

I buy my meat from a family farm, and they assure me that all the animals there are orphans.

Bumping for reference. Also, one tip that someone told me is that if you edit a food entry (like I just did since the Trader Joe's Light Whole Wheat Bread barcode didn't match the nutritional value) then it goes back to 0 confirmations. So sometimes items with 0 confirmations ARE accurate. But it would be hard to tell.

Please add me so I can cut you. I don't want you to think there's anything wrong with me.

Check out this first review for good info on pros/cons of the Shine. Looks like it doesnt' sync with MFP: http://www.amazon.com/Misfit-Shine-Activity-Sleep-Monitor/product-reviews/B00FDWN8RM/ref=dpx_acr_txt?showViewpoints=1 I have a Fitbit One and I love it. I also swim a lot in the summer, so that aspect is a bummer.…
