  • the calories are pretty accurate but I will now check just in case. A yogurt I always eat was listed as having 20 more calories and 3 more grams of fat, yikes!

  • under cardio you can type strength training. Of course it's pretty general but at least a guide, so a heart rate monitor would help you be more exact.

  • I think you can find it on their website. They have a pretty detailed nutritional information list.
  • How many of us have actually met this woman?!! uh huh.
  • That's great. I will watch for these HG posts!
  • I think it has to do with how your body processes bad foods such as white flour and sugar. Apparently your body stores it right away as garbage and you do not get any nutrients. Whole grains, fruit, veggies... keep your body functioning at a healthier level. I was always excited on weight watchers etc because you could eat…
  • Hey, I think I few people mentioned the new Hungry Girl book released today but I found the website that came first with fun ideas, tips and tricks, recipes. It looks fun so I thought I would share hungrygirl.com.
  • Because you're worth it! Think about how you felt when you first lost weight and started seeing results. Didn't you feel great, accomplished, strong? Those few pounds are nothing worth quitting for but something to win again. Stay with it. This is your only life! Live it!
  • Done! No waiting until May 1, it starts now. Going to workout right away. We deserve this.
  • I'm in! I have about 10 pounds to go and this summer will be better than all the rest because I say so! June 1 is a great goal date. My loss has been good but I'm at my life long plateau that I've never broken through. This is the month! Thanks for the challenge.
  • They are so hard so I've been known to do them at a slow pace, no jumping involved. Step back one leg at a time, back in then, stand up. There are so many fun exercises you can do, mix it up so you stay interested.
  • Start in a frog stance, crouched with your hands infront of your feet., knees out to the side. jump your legs out behind so your full length (like a push-up), jump back to centre, then jump straight up and repeat. Gets the whole body going.
  • I would try incorporting more strength training to encourage muscle growth which will take up less space than fat. In that case you stay the same weight but end up shrinking so maintain cardio as well.
  • That's great. Keep at it. You are worth it! It's not going to be easy. But if it was you couldn't celebrate the milestones and willpower you have.
  • Now that summer is coming I'm really excited to set up some obstacle courses in my yard or a park. I get bored easily so a number of exercises in short hard! spurts are great, here are some exercise I add into routine and change up all the time. Try 2 set of 10 or a count of 30 to a minute per move. jumping jacks high knee…
  • Fibre and some good whole grains should help. Drink a big glass of cool not cold water before you eat. I just bought this fibre powder stuff, 'Fruit and veggies fibre' something from a health food store. I mix it with water and it actually helped. Plus it has 24 varieties of fruits and veggies in it (don't know ow many…

Just like I'm addicted to MFP. So many stories relate to my struggles and I find myself writing to someone who is going through a similar situation and…
  • Help! I've gotten to a weight that has plagued me for years. I've been at this point before but never stayed more than a few weeks. I'm at a nearly healthy weight for my body which is why I think it's harder to push past. What do I have to do to blow through this weight and get even a few pounds more. My goal is 12 pounds…
  • forget it, it's done and move on. Every moment is a new beginning. mmm I bet it tasted great though. Try finding those individual choc bars and freeze them. Take one out when you have a craving, wait for it to thaw (craving may pass by then). For right this moment, put on your shoes and go for a walk/run... Don't deny your…
  • Exactly, it's a new day. I had my birthday this weekend. I noticed I couldn't eat as much as I did before but drinking was another story. But I'm back on track and managed to not gain, even lose 1/2 a pound. Now I have to work hard to keep that birthday cake from finding a place on my hips. Glad to hear someone else is…
  • Sorry but relationships are so much work and I'm worth more than the drama that comes with dating. lol! I want to feel good for myself and not for the people around me. Enjoy getting healthy for yourself, and note I said 'healthy' . As much as we want to lose weight we need to think about our health. Do it safely and if…
