  • Wake up, I'm done.
  • Hey me to! I started in April and lost 7 lbs in two months and gained it all back following two injuries that I used as an excuse to go back to my old habits. Day 1 again! All the best. MFP, you rock!

  • Happy Canada Day!! Here in Thunder Bay, ON some friends and I had a bbq then went down to the marina for live music, entertainers, facepainting, fireworks and more!!! Happy 4th of July south of the border.
  • SHOES! I love my shoes. I think I'm around 80-85 pairs but I keep purging a dozen or so at a time and slowly replenishing. Yes I'm single, so I can buy as many as I want!
  • can I have some of your extra calories?
  • Is it terrible to say that I can't do anything that has been listed on this thread? I'm scared to see the list get longer adding to my personal ineptness. lol! Glad you can all share and laugh about them.
  • You're starting in the right place. I had a couple injuries and stopped following MFP for a few weeks. Worst mistake. Now I'm back on track and remember how much I miss this group. Everyone here has the same goal -to be healthy- and many personal goals along the way. Keep reading posts and asking questions and you will get…
  • I've actually had strangers offer to parallel park for me because it was embarrassing. Overcooking meat. Always have and always will even though I try not to. Saving money "Just one more pair of shoes" Dating - I'm the nice girl that guys get bored with. Apparently you need to argue, flirt with other guys and complain…
  • That was a great message! A positive attitude is inspirational and should be reflected upon on those days it just doesn't seem worth it. Because you are worth it and shame on those who didn't know it before. Always remember who you are doing this for. Yourself.
  • SECOND AND THIRD OPINION!! My friend is now suing several doctors because (following 2 surgeries, several scans, x-rays, exams, trips to specialists) they all failed to notice the first doctor left a piece of equipment in her during a surgery one year ago which has now left her unable to have children. They won't get…
  • I think that the things most important to us are some of the most challenging. Education tests you, finding a career that satisfies you, finances and trying to budget doesn't leave you with a lot, even love can challenge you. These 'trying' moments are what make us stronger. It's easy to quit school, take a job that…
  • Too kind, my new favourite person! I got the dress from Le Chateau. Love it! It's what's hiding below the waist that needs improvement and with the way I keep hurting myself I need all the strength I can get. lol!
  • Thanks everyone. It was too funny to not share with you. The most unreal accidents and illnesses happen to me. I'm thinking about writing a book, sure to be a comedy. On the road to recovery, again!
  • Yup I got an actual concussion! I was using an incline leg press but was having troubles moving the backrest up because the pin was sticking. Suddenly the huge, metal seat came tumbling down on my head. I didn't black out and no, none of the gym boys saw the crash, thank god. I didn't go to the hospital for a few days…
  • Down with donuts! I've failed at resisting on occasion but it really isn't worth it. I feel gross when I eat too much garbage (garbage being the appropriate word for bad food). Great job passing them up. Go check out your hot bod you're working hard on in the mirror before you dive into the donut box of sin.
  • Maybe your group could share your food journals to see what everyone is eating and how they feel when they eat better. Use it as a 'new food idea' tool without putting anyone on the spot and maybe she will see how she should be eating. It will be her choice but a little nudge by those close to her who are also going…
  • Welcome. You'll love it here. If you want to continue enjoying the great outdoors with your friends maybe you could try roller blading next to their long strides. Try games/sports like, tennis, volleyball or go for a bike ride.
  • Great job! Your lower obliques are harder to do so will require consistent work. To really engage them I like to do leg raises (do not touch the floor), the bicycle, crunches with the legs out longer or bent out to the side to elongate the lower ab. You can even add resistance by holding a weight over your abs while you…
  • Ok I'm back it's been 6 minutes, what did I miss? Should we start an MFPaholics group? Step 1 - acknowledgment of a MFP power greater than facebook Step 2 - trust that MFP will be there even if you don't log in for an hour Step 3 - ... any ideas?
  • I like intervals. 10-20 cardio, 30 weights(upper body), 10-20 cardio, 30 weights (lower body), finish with abs. You won't get bored and you can keep your heath rate up for longer. You can then change cardio at each interval and add or change the length. Always start with light cardio to warm up the muscles. Not static…
  • Definately a great message to start the day. Thanks.
  • Just what the day ordered. Thanks!
  • I remember from your wedding planning that they were making things a little difficult. So I wouldn't give their selfishness a second thought. I stopped giving the donor (biologcal dad) gifts about 3 years after he stopped acknowledging my birthday when I was 16. It has saved me a lot of money over birthdays and Christmas,…
  • This is exactly my childhood. So amazing! Love the flash back. Thanks.
  • HI Lola, MFP is a great support system. We even chat about life in general so join in and start your life style changes for a happier healthier you!
  • mmm sangria. I haven't had one since I went to Spain. Very yummy. Combo of red or white wine and fruit juice and fruit pieces. Definately having a sangria party this summer. What ever you do, celebrate your presence as a gift.
  • sounds like all the good company is right here!
  • This is a very difficult situation you're in and we all give you our strength. I think you may have answered your own questions with how you wrote the events. You are scared, trapped and feeling alone. It seems like you know what you need to do but not sure if it's what you want to do. This is your only chance at life and…
  • ~KB [/quote] And Bethanie...secret confession...my ex-boyfriend was a "back hair guy" and I completely did not care. He was such an amazing guy! It's true that when you are love, that stuff just doesn't matter. It's when you first meet someone that it's easy to find those faults. So I'm glad you gave your furry friend a…
  • Bugs are the only down fall of summer. I still take it over the 10 feet in 2 weeks of snow this winter. Not to gross you out but saliva works to help the itch when your not close to another remedy.
